About this listen

Hadley Hunter was living a normal life on the mainland when fate stepped in and gave her exactly what she always wanted: true love and excitement. It doesn’t hurt that a bit of magic was thrown in for good measure.

Hadley is a witch learning how to use her powers, a woman in love, and a trouble magnet with a snarky tongue and a heart of gold. Join her and her magical group of mayhem seekers - including a shifter, cupid, demon and siren, who all have history that runs centuries deep - as they unravel the mystery of an island that could very well be magic itself.

You’ll laugh until you cry and love until it hurts.

This three-book omnibus includes: To Spell With It, Hex Type Thing, and Brewing Up a Storm.

I started it and couldn't put it down.

This is a good series if you enjoy paranormal romance with a good dose of mystery. The story is about a twenty something witch who doesn't know she's a witch until she inherits a lighthouse on a magical island. The inhabitants of the island are all magical and mythical creatures and she makes friends with most of them. She manages to fall in love with the sheriff along the way who is a wolf shifter. I bought books 1-3 and 4-6 on an Audible summer sale and they were definitely worth the price. The only draw back was I really got tired of the I love you and girlfriend/boyfriend references. It's good clean fun and adventure as she learns how to practice magic. There's no profanity and no explicit sex scenes.

savings? what happened to her wealth?

Hadley talks about her savings running out and that she has to get a job.
what?????!!!
in the first three books, it is mentioned several times that she is now independently wealthy and never needs to ever work!
Does the author not keep notes? obviously not.
very disappointing.

Enjoy story line, however the narrating...hmmm

Fun stories. however the reader makes me nuts. Very choppy and overly enunciated words. NO One speaks like that. errrr.

Whiny voiced narrator!!

The first three books were OK, so I decided to buy the next set, but I had to force myself to finish it. The narrator is very whiny and all the sexual innuendo was extreme. I’m not a square in any way but it got to the point it was super annoying.

Whining and more whining

The story is good. The secondary characters are delightful. Hadley is getting more juvenile with every book. Couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve mentally told her to ‘shut up’. Zero consideration for good advice and her relationship. She will whine until she gets her way regardless of a life or death situation, or someone else’s personal business. She expects everyone to fight for their relationships with their mothers but constantly blows off the opportunity to learn her craft or bond with Mae. Gaylon is spineless when it comes to Hadley even when it comes to his job. It’s like a couple middle school kids trapped in adult bodies. I cannot continue with this series.
