About this listen

Once again, Carl Weber brings together two literary divas to give listeners what they’ve been asking for: empowering stories about big, beautiful women.

A Lover’s Embrace? by Skyy

Rayne creates beautiful works of art, but her personal life is a blank canvas, void of love and passion. With a life-changing showcase on the horizon, Rayne is completely content being alone. She has kept clear of distractions since her last breakup, five years earlier. Things are working in her favor, until an erotic dream shakes her to her core. As if things weren’t becoming complicated enough, a new coworker seems to have stepped directly out of her dream, offering her the opportunity to experience pleasure with no strings attached. Rayne must decide whether to take a chance, or pass up the opportunity that her body is craving. Will this be a masterpiece in the making, or a catastrophe waiting to happen?

You Only Live Once by Treasure Hernandez

Given the nickname Pooh Bear by her besties, Dakota Marie Smith is just as lovable, thick, cuddly, and soft spoken as a teddy bear. She’s known by family and friends as the good girl, a wallflower who can do no wrong; but she’s tired of being the bore in the bunch, so she flies to Las Vegas with plans of leaving her old self behind. Will Dakota be able to throw caution to the wind and explore the stranger within? Considering that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, she might be able to do just that - and then some.

The first story by Skyy I really enjoyed It really showcased the different perspectives of how people view things from the outside versus how you believe things to be when you're in the midst of something. which for me was very refreshing. The second book by treasure Hernandez was really good as well I could so relate and I think so many women can relate to the main character. So many of us get lost in the day-to-day shuffle of life that we don't really live. most of all from both of these books I can apply the takeaways to real life.

I enjoyed both stories. The first story had me a bit confused. I really don’t think that she was a lesbian. She was bisexual because I don’t think a lesbian would start messing around with a man just like that.

Enjoyed Both

to be a big beautiful woman and have a series dedicated to us is still unbelievable the way they bring alive the insecurities and conquering those insecurities is a beautiful thing thank you Carl Webber for this series that I can relate to so much

just like always I love dick

I could not get into the first story so I skipped over it after a few minutes. Second story was good. A woman who ventured out for a change from the norm. The voiceover was not great. There were some stiff and controlled moments but overall okay.

Second Story is the Best One

I’ve never been more frustrated with a female lead… I just wanna shake and tell her to find some self worth, I couldn’t finish it

Frustrating

The main female character irritated me. It’s like she couldn’t comprehend sex no strings attached no matter how many times he said it. The narrator over exaggerated words way too often for the story to sound natural.

I personally enjoyed both stories. The 1st story with Reign I thought I wouldn’t like but the overall story was really good. I wish she would’ve listened to Loyal when he old her no, the 1st time. No means no Reign. She was even upsetting me. When Loyal gave her what she wanted, she really couldn’t handle it. It really was the “D” that had her going crazy. Lol. The 2nd story had me feeling like Dakota was really dingy. She was really sheltered and it showed. At 25. I would’ve been living it up for a paid trip to Vegas. But I guess all that she had done was outside of the norm for her. The story was just beginning for Dakota and guy’s story was just beginning. Wow!!

Both stories 👍🏾

I enjoyed the book immensely! It clearly showed how confusing navigating casual sex and your own sexuality can be! The writer dragged me through the emotional confusion allowing me to see clearly how someone else processed their emotions. Excellent writing!
