Publisher's summary

Bikers by day. Special ops by night. These New York Times bestselling Black Knights are "Alpha, sexy, and downright hot!"

Abby Thompson didn't ask to be the First Daughter. And when she's taken hostage, she fears her father's policy of "not negotiating with terrorists" means she'll never see the shores of the Potomac again. Though there is one man who can save her....

Carlos "Steady" Soto has taken part in his fair share of dangerous missions, but nothing prepared him for the roller coaster he faces when he's tasked with rescuing the only woman he ever loved - who also broke his heart. If they make it out alive, will Abby turn her back on him... for the second time?

"Holy Cannoli "

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

yes, if you like romance and adventure. This is not a mystery and the men are tied together by the BKI biz, but the stories do not have to be listened in order. If you try one, pick the reader you like best.

What did you like best about this story?

author had good fun dialogue for our heroine, but if you are not in the mood for it, it may not be for you.

What about Angela Dawe’s performance did you like?

I purchased this author's 2 books read by Ms Dawe as I am a big fan of hers. Her male voices are her best. Her Scot's brogue is the best in audio.
I don't like this author enough to buy the other books by this author in this series.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

when our heroine admits "TEXT" mistake.

Narrator bearable - good story

The narrator is the same as the previous book in the series, but she wasn’t quite as bad this book. It was a little more than bearable - I made it through without questioning my purchase.

Full Throttle

The story was great. I liked all the plot twists & Abby & Carlos were adorable together. Something I've begun to notice in the last few books though, is that the author drags conversations out too much. She'll insert all kinds of irrelevant reminiscences right in the middle of a convo or even when the characters should be running for their lives. I've enjoyed the series, but I think this is the last book I'll buy from this author because of that. I know it's supposed to ratchet up the tension, but it's quite annoying when it's done so often.

And don't get me started on the narrator, Angela Dawes. I had to struggle to finish listening because her inflections were so awful to hear, it kept dragging me out of the story. I will NEVER listen to anything she reads ever again!

Disappointing - Just Blah

Any additional comments?

Was really looking forward to this book but unfortunately I was really disappointed. It seemed to be directed more toward the YA crowd; too many quips and not much action. The big "secret" was lame and the reveal was worse.
