The Author gives a brief history of dogs going back to when they were first domesticated from wolves. She discusses their anatomy, communication, amazing sense of smell and hearing and the speed they can travel and much more.
Apart from being man’s best friend, the many uses of various dogs are staggering, from search and rescue to sniffing out drugs to having the ability to smell cancer in humans, not forgetting guarding and hunting and as service dogs. As an adult I found it interesting; children would be doubly fascinated.
The audiobook is slightly over 1 hour long, and the narration is excellent when played on 1.2. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in dogs.

This book is about fun facts for dogs to make people love dogs. But it's a great book for dog-lovers too. I am a dog-lover and I learned so many new fun facts about dogs. For example, the book has a brief history of how different breeds fit into human society. My favorite chapter was Chapter 4 where the author shares the dogs with special traits and record-breaking facts. It's so interesting! The book not only gives fun facts, there are also scientific facts on dog behavior to upgrade your knowledge about dogs. In conclusion, this is a fun and informative book about dogs and would be a great gift for dog-lovers. i highly recommend it :)

What a great book by Kate Herm and the narrator Marcus Mulenga.

As a dog owner for my entire life i found myself learning things about the history of dogs since their domestication 15000 years ago and how breeds became specialized and used to help society. I just loved this book because of its encylopedic knowledge it dishes out on all things dog.

The physical ability of certain breeds is fascinating. The weird and guinness book of dog records is fun to learn as well. But for me i really enjoyed and learned from some of the tips for feeding, grooming and exercising dogs.

As Kate Herm says it is easy to see why dogs are a man's best friend. I loved this book and highly recommend ti.
