About this listen

If you want to learn German quickly and without getting bored, don't waste any more time and keep reading...

Learning a new language is not easy, and it can be quite boring and tiring if you don't have the right tools to do it. This is also why many people choose to travel and dive directly in the place, but it is not a simple solution for everyone.

It will seem like a misplaced question, but do you know that we memorize and learn information more easily through stories? That's because, our brain likes it and it has been so used from an early age to the stories they told us, cartoons, etc. In this way, it is more inclined to learn. As a result, it is easier to learn and memorize a new language by listening to stories.

Now, I don't want to influence you by saying that mine is the best book in circulation - you will be the judge. As you surely know, there are several books similar to this one for learning, but they are not really optimal or suitable for beginners for different reasons: complicated terms are used, they have too long stories, lack of vocabulary, grammatical errors, lack of techniques and suggestions, and other carelessness that you will not find in this book.

The book is divided into two parts. Here is what you'll find:

Part one:

  • Tips and techniques about learning languages (and not just German)
  • The fundamentals of the German language
  • Some of the most complex issues of the German language
  • 25 lessons broken down into verb tenses
  • The present simple tense
  • The present simple tense with the verb "sein"

Part two:

  • Tips and techniques about learning languages (and not just German)
  • The fundamentals of the German language
  • Some of the most complex issues of the German language
  • 25 lessons broken down into verb tenses
  • The present continuous tense
  • The present simple tense with irregular verbs
  • Five empowering lessons with all the tenses together
  • And much more!

Even if you have never spoken or written in German, there is no need to worry because this book was designed specifically for people like you. In fact, each lesson contains questions to help you understand precisely each story. Also, there are suggested answers that can guide you to understand better.

To get the most out of this book, at the beginning of each lesson, there is a glossary that contains the words of the story that will follow. This will help you gain an advantage over each of them.

Beware of major grammatical mistakes!

There were some pretty blatant and some simply annoying mistakes in this book. The authors just took a French or Spanish language version and substituted German as a fill-in. This made the grammar chapter almost completely incorrect! Anyone who knows anything about very basic German grammar would have caught all of the mistakes immediately, but apparently the authors didn't think it was important to ask anyone.
The English narrator has a dead voice that I had to grit my teeth to listen to, but the German narrator was fine. The stories themselves were very poorly written. Again, I was there for the German and not to analyze the text, but it would have been so much easier to listen to if I could have respected the material.
More editing errors: In one chapter the English narrator went on and on about being obsessed with Spanish Then the German narrator changed that to German. It was clear in many places that the Spanish or French words were deleted and a clumsy edit inserted the German. Sometimes the edit didn't even happen.
Since I am a beginner in German, I can not verify the English to German translation. To my limited understanding, the main texts (save the editing errors) seemed correct.
If you would like to simply listen to some German, go ahead and have a listen. I did finish it but won't return to it again.
