About this listen

They refuse to die like they are told.

The Republic is dead. Its fleets shattered, its people slaughtered, and its warriors left to die in the void. But not all of them.

Sergeant Doug "Blackcat" Ericson is one of the last Ronin—elite special operations armsmen of the fallen Republic—now hunted as terrorists by the same corporate overlords who orchestrated its destruction. For Ericson and his scattered brothers and sisters, survival isn’t enough. The Economic Exchange and its ruthless enforcers, Rentak Corporation, will pay in blood.

Tasked with infiltrating Bast Station’s Rentak data vaults, Ericson expected a routine cyber raid. What he got was a kill box. Betrayed, outgunned, and with corporate black ops on his tail, his only shot at survival—and revenge—comes from an unlikely ally: Knight, a rogue security specialist with access to secrets that could bring Rentak crashing down.

But getting out alive means running a gauntlet of corporate assassins, military-grade warbots, and cybernetic nightmares. In the void, loyalty is a bullet away from betrayal, and war is the only constant.

The odds are billions to one against the Ronin. The future of the human race hangs in the balance, so defeat is not an option. Empires will clash. The human race will never be the same.

Let the bodies hit the floor. It is time for the Ronin to avenge the Republic.

Fast, brutal, and packed with high-tech warfare, cybernetic combat, and deep-space military action, Ghosts of the Republic is a must-read for fans of mliitary science fiction and space opera.

Honestly Virtual Voice wasn't that bad but there are definitely some very flat moments in the story. I vastly prefer a real narrator that's active and engaged with the story. Enough of That

I liked this story quite a bit. a good engaging setting and interesting characters. Despite my dislike of AI narration I enjoyed the AI supporting characters and the presentation of the military of the Draconis Republic.

Enjoyed the story overall would like to hear more in this setting and would listen again with a real narrator.

Great Story- Lousy Narration
