About this listen

It was weird how the apocalypse snuck up on you. In the movies, there was always the one big event - the nuclear war, the virus infected monkey that bites the animal rights protester, whatever - and then everything goes to shit in the next 15 minutes.

Reality wasn't like that, though. In the real world, things went to shit step by step by step, so slowly that you barely noticed, but then every now and then you look up and see it with fresh eyes, and wonder how the hell it got to be like this.

At first the chance of the asteroid Mammon hitting was 1 in 1,000.

Then 1 in 100.

Then 1 in 10.

For deep sea saturation divers and old oil rig buddies Tom, Alejandro, and Rob the end of the world is here, and they missed their chance to escape the city to a bug out ranch inland ... but then the call comes. If they're willing to do a mission, of the most dangerous sort, in the worst conditions possible, they - and their families - just might make it through.

...if everything goes just right.

...and if no one double crosses them.

Fantastic story, good voice

My only complaint is the AI voice messed up a few abbreviations and pronunciations. Otherwise fantastic story, gripping, kept me up way to late to finish

Get past the virtual voice.

Don't let the virtual voice rob you of an outstanding story. I'm excited to start the reading list that Corcoran gives you with the chapter titles. Going to start them as soon as I finish the rest of his creations.

Just say no to AI narration

The AI voice was awful. Appropriate natural pauses in dialogue are nonexistent & words are mispronounced.
