Bevere goes boldly into the one place that is universal for all of us: our wilderness journey. He extends a kind hand and provides biblical guidance and wisdom and most of all shines some 'light into the darkness' to help navigate the way through.

I deeply respect John and Lisa Bevere’s ministry. I love so many of their books. In a season where the presence of God felt dry, God seemed silent, and life was challenging, this book was the answer to my many questions. If you feel like you may be in a wilderness season, this book will affirm you - many godly men and women have had wilderness seasons (Jesus, John the Baptist, Moses, etc.) This book is extremely encouraging if you are in that season, and clarifies the purpose of what you are walking through.

John Bevere goes deeper and throughtout the chapters in this book increasely share precious insight about God, the hardship we face in life, and the purpose for humans/Christians' during difficult times. It helps us to gain a new perspective of life that is worthy and encourage us to refresh God's call in our lives. This book provides the hope and strength to endure in the wildness seasons of life. With Christ, this crisis are not waste, they are our victory.

This was the perspective I needed to choose not to give up and lay down and die as a result of my circumstances.
