About this listen

The nightmares have returned. Something, or someone, wants to drag Julia Davidson back into a dreadful conflict she assumed was a distant memory. Was this, like before, the echo of another person's dream? Is she responsible to rescue faces she doesn't recognize but can't forget? Do the murky images suggest she has a part to play in whatever ominous events lie ahead?

Things are finally looking up for Matthew Adams. As the top earner at MedCom Associates he has started to crawl out of the financial hole created during his "dark days". And now, out of the blue, a mysterious woman invites him to join a confidential research initiative. She says it will ease the mounting economic crisis. But at what cost to Matthew's fragile sanity, and his tortured soul?

Pastor Alex Ware faces a serious problem. The honeymoon period at Christ Community Church has ended. The finance committee says they can't afford another year of dwindling income and dismal growth. The board wants action, now! Aging parishioners would gladly allocate a portion of their estate to help. But only if Alex stops condemning the transition industry and starts affirming what the Youth Initiative calls "our heroic volunteers".

In Fatherless and Childless, Dr. James Dobson and Kurt Bruner depicted a time in which present-day trends come to sinister fruition. This eagerly awaited conclusion vividly imagines what happens when God's image on Earth is exchanged for the horrors of a Godless world.

Cannot wait for more in the series!

I loved all the books in this three book series They really made me think about current events right now. I do not normally read/listen to fiction, but this series kept my interest by being so relatable to real life.

narration

the only reason for the lower score is the narrator's voices were just not good

Loved the book Godless

This book could be considered our prophetic future. It's fiction but filled with controversy about the baby boomers dilemma too many older people verses the young being born or should I say NOT being born. I listened to the book on audible and the reader was excellent. You will not be disappointed with this book.

Prophetic

This trilogy was written ten years ago.
At the time, it was set at 30 years into the future — now 20 years into the future. You can already see many of these trends coming to pass. This trilogy open my eyes to some coming trends. I recommend it highly.

Excellent Story

Seeing how it was written prior to the 2016 elections, I can't help but think that there needs to be another layer of conflict added to a rewrite, namely, the obvious public vitriol that we are now seeing.

a scary portrayal of a not so distant future

every time I listen to a story that's based in the far future I'm alarmed by The fact that years later I start to see the very things I read about in these books happening in the world around me. I pray we never see the realities in this book in our world.

Amazing Finale!

Everything we read in the previous 2 books comes together in this unexpected but amazing conclusion. As with the 1st 2 books, it was nearly impossible to turn off. Absolutely wonderfully done! From the storyline to the incredible narration, giving life to each character with his or her own voice. I hope/pray to see more books by this pair.

Fantastic conclusion

Too bad there aren't Kevin Tolberts among current politicians on either side. Very good trilogy. Sorry it's over.
