About this listen

God’s Purpose Over Man’s Opinion: A 30-Day Devotional to Help Teens Stand Firm in Faith and Walk Confidently in Christ

Are the teens in your life chasing God's purpose—or the world's approval?

Today’s teens face overwhelming pressure to fit in, measure up, and be liked. Whether it's in the classroom, online, or in their friend groups, the messages are constant: “Be more,” “Do more,” “Look better,” “Fit in.” But what if they learned to ignore the noise and listen to the one voice that truly matters—God’s?

In this 30-day devotional, teens will discover how to stand firm in their faith, walk humbly, and live boldly for Christ—even in a world that tells them to do the opposite.

They’ll explore topics like:

Building confidence based on who they are in Christ, not how others see them

Resisting peer pressure by relying on God’s truth and strength

Learning how boldness and humility can work together

Letting go of fear, comparison, and the need to please people

Living each day with purpose and courage through God's Word

Each day includes a Scripture, a short and relatable devotional thought, a practical challenge or reflection, and a closing prayer—perfect for teens who want to grow closer to God without feeling overwhelmed.

This audiobook version is especially great for teens who may not enjoy reading or who prefer learning through listening. The tone is friendly, uplifting, and encouraging—never preachy. It’s designed to speak directly to their hearts and help them navigate real-life challenges with real spiritual truth.

If you know a teen who’s struggling to figure out who they are or how to live out their faith in today’s culture, this devotional is a powerful tool to guide and encourage them.

Help them stop living for the world’s approval—and start walking confidently in God’s purpose.

I got this for my daughter who’s been feeling pressure to fit in and stay quiet about her faith. She’s been reading one devotional each morning before school, and it’s sparked some really honest conversations between us. She says it helps her feel more grounded and reminds her who she’s living for—not just what others think. It’s written in a way she relates to without feeling talked down to. I’m really grateful we found this.

“If we don't know who we are in Christ, we'll spend our lives chasing the approval of others, and that's a battle we'll never win.”

Wow. This audiobook devotional is a treasure. Even a weapon, in the spiritual battle that we are all in. During the years where hormones rage and identity is often in crisis. Lorie Eubank does a great job in helping teens deepen their faith, without overwhelming or browbeating. This is a true companion, personal and encouraging. Simple, yet powerful.

The messages are always rooted in Scripture, pointing to God's truth, offering a refreshing alternative to the confusion many young people face.

All of the themes covered (confidence, humility, identity, courage ...) are approached in a way that is affirming, empowering, approachable, and rooted in truth.

I could have used something like this in my teen years. Get it for yourself or the teen you love.

Rooted in identity in Christ when you need it most

This has been such a great way to start the day by listening to a simple message with scripture to remind you what is most important. I got this for my daughter because high school can be overwhelming and its easy to get confused with so much social media. She’s been feeling overwhelmed and struggling with her self-esteem and confidence and this audiobook has been a beautiful reminder that she’s loved, valued, and enough just as she is. She actually looks forward to listening to it while getting ready or in the car, which has been amazing. We have had some really meaningful conversations about the scriptures shared which has been great. I love that it encourages her to stay true to her values and feel empowered to be herself. A valuable listen for teens navigating a tough world.
