Publisher's summary

A high-octane military romance....

Lilly has no choice but to trust the tough, sexy ex-special forces operative to guide her out of the Afghan mountains to safety. As Grant leads her across the unforgiving terrain, risking his life to protect her, Lilly can’t deny her growing feelings or the intense physical attraction between them.

Grant feels it too, but giving in to his desire would mean betraying his best mate’s memory, and that’s not something he’s prepared to do. Not even for the girl of his dreams.

This is the first book in the sizzling SAS Rogue Unit series by Amazon best-selling author, Louise Rose-Innes. If you like Navy SEALs military romance, then you'll love the SAS Rogue Unit.

Rollercoaster of emotions

This is the first book in a series about men in a British UK special forces unit. There is lots of suspense in this story about Lily and Grant and their supporting cast members, Pat and Vance. I especially like the ending and how it sets the framework for stories about other men in the unit. Highly recommended.

Redemption for An Ex-Hero

Going Rogue begins with Grant coming out of a fail mission losing his best friend and most of his men in his unit. He made a promise to his best friend that he will let Lilly know that his best friend loved her.

A couple of months later, Grant is persuaded by his commander to rescued Lilly who created a computerized algorithm program to worked against the Taliban. Grant hasn't lived up to his promise to his best friend and to keep his promise, he has to saved Lilly to get her out of the Middle East.

Lilly has always noticed Grant but that one incident has prejudiced her against him. But as she got to know Grant during their Plan B escaped (Plan A didn't work), Lilly realized that she has judged him wrongly.

Grant has thought that Lilly thought she was above him because she is really smart. And worst, he was falling for his best friend's girl. He couldn't do this to his dead best friend.

I loved that Lilly is seeing through Grant's eyes of what he is fighting for and that he is someone who she could depend on as a leader of men. I also loved how tormented Grant is for the death of his men and how he fought to understand that what happen to him and his men was not his fault due to outside force leading to the ambush. This is an audiobook that I will listen again.

I have always been a fan of military, suspense romance. This SAS Rogue Unit has provided me another option beside reading SEAL and military romance. I loved the details and the plot of the story, the interactions of Grant and Lilly and other characters in the story. I definitely will be looking forward to reading more of this series.

The narrator, Adrian Hobart is fantastic. I hope he stay as the narrator for this series. I just love listening to his voice.
