About this listen
A couple must recover a precious gift stolen from them in Mallory Kane's The Delancey Dynasty miniseries.
Marcie Powers saw her son everywhere. For two years, no stroller or baby seat passed without his face. She saw him so much, not even her estranged husband, Joseph, believed her. So he wasn't surprised when she claimed to have found their son once again. Yet this time, she wasn't hysterical. There was something…different. And although she couldn't have known it, news of Joe's own secret parentage was about to hit Louisiana headlines - and it would put his son at risk for a big payday. Now Joseph and Marcie will have to trek through the bayou at the whims of a kidnapper to find the son they'd thought lost to them forever - and reclaim the love between them…

Finished but...
I finished the book. It has a good story line but irk what it was. The female lead was so whiney and ditzy. The narrator made the lead man sound hateful and mean. Idk it just needs work.

Story had potential...glad it was free and I didn’t waste a credit
**Potential spoilers**
This story had so much potential, but the narrator’s intolerable whiny voice for the main female character along with that character’s stupidity and the horrible way she treated her estranged husband made me want to punch her. Honestly, after the way she treated him when the kidnapping ordeal was over I didn’t even want them together. She was stupid, clueless and unnecessarily cruel. She never even really apologizes for the way she treated him or the things she said...other than to say “I didn’t really mean it. I love you.” Then she just throws herself at him to try & seduce him. At that point I just wanted him to tell her no and walk away. This book just made me frustrated and a little mad by the time I was done. If you have no tolerance for weak-minded and whiny female leads, then I’d say skip this one.
