About this listen
What are you thinking, Amy? The question I've asked most often during our marriage, if not out loud, if not to the person who could answer. I suppose these questions storm cloud over every marriage: What are you thinking? How are you feeling? Who are you? What have we done to each other? What will we do? Just how well can you ever know the person you love?
These are the questions that Nick Dunne must ask himself on the morning of his fifth wedding anniversary, when his wife Amy suddenly disappears. The police immediately suspect Nick. Amy's friends reveal that she was afraid of him, that she kept secrets from him. He swears it isn't true. A police examination of his computer shows strange searches. He says they aren't his. And then there are the persistent calls on his mobile phone.
So what really did happen to Nick's beautiful wife? And what was in that half-wrapped box left so casually on their marital bed? In this novel, marriage truly is the art of war.

Would you listen to Gone Girl again? Why?
No, but that's because it wouldn't hold me in suspense to the same degree. I don't regret listening to it at all, in fact I found it making me reassess things in my life. I was expecting more of a mystery, and found that it was more a critique of human nature along with some mystery. It was very entertaining. What was one of the most memorable moments of Gone Girl?
Would love to say, but it would be a spoiler. Just listen to it!Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes, I found myself quite drawn into the characters lives and at time it made me very angry and at times very sad. Quite a powerful book that really makes you consider how human relationships work.I really didn't want to stop listening at the end of each train ride, I wanted to delve deeper. Definitely not a book to start listening to if you are about to be distracted from listening for awhile!
Surprising. Not your run of the mill mystery.
