About this listen

What’s done in the dark, comes to the light.

After discovering Eric’s betrayal, Auburn is left to pick up the broken pieces of her heart. Pregnant and scared, she makes a rash decision that affects not only her life, but everyone involved.

Years later, she is no longer the same girl she was before, now a confident young woman who has settled into a comfortable life.

An unexpected run-in with Eric resurfaces the feelings she thought were buried and the secret she never meant for him to find out.

Money. Power. Fame. Eric has it all. With a successful career on and off the field, he has the life most men would die to have. Even with all this, he still can’t seem to shake off the one person that managed to capture his heart so long ago. Setting his sights on Auburn after so long, he is left feeling confused and dumbfounded when she runs away from him. On a search for her, he stumbles upon information that turns the feelings he once had for her into hate.

When trust is broken, can it ever be repaired? Or is it broken forever?

Details that weren’t needed, childish, rude men.

Honestly it was too long winded , filled with too many details about things that don’t matter & Auburn is childish & that man is rude it’s nothing cute or sexy about a man who don’t know how to talk to people . This was not a good mix in characters . I felt like I was listening to a 16 & pregnant story even with 5 years later she was still childish.

Great story

The narrator is horrible. It’s annoying but overall the story is great. It mispronounces the simplest words.

Virtual narrator is awful

The story would have been ok but the virtual voice is awful. Story is a cliffhanger that ends abruptly. Its like the author forgot the main character is supposed to be a gangster. But he is just a rude and mean.

It was cringy.

I was hoping by book 2 Auburn grew a backbone, but she still the same weakling. it’s hard to continue to read when the author is not developing her character at all.
