There was a lot happening in this plot. Likeable characters, good story. Great narrator. I did enjoy it, but there were a lot of trope packed into one story. I think I’ll still check out the next book in the series, it has me curious.

It's rare to find this sort of eerie vibe in historical romance and I was pulled into this dark Victorian romance from the very first line! Thomas and Abigails connection was undeniable and their HEA felt earned by the end. I'm surprised this is a debut! I look forward to reading more from this author.
