About this listen
Are you excited about planning your next trip? Do you want to try something new while traveling? Would you like some guidance from a local?
If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, then this audiobook is for you.
Greater Than a Tourist - Bucharest, Romania, by Cristina Tarbuc, offers the inside scoop on Bucharest. Most travel guides tell you how to travel like a tourist. Although there's nothing wrong with that, as a part of the Greater than a Tourist series, this audiobook will give you travel tips from someone who lives at your next travel destination.
You'll discover local advice that will help you throughout your stay. This audiobook will not tell you exact addresses or store hours but instead will give you an excitement and knowledge from a local that you may not find in other smaller travel guides.
Travel like a local. Slow down, stay in one place, and get to know the people and the culture of a place.
By the time you finish this audiobook, you will be eager and prepared to travel to your next destination.

Great Listen!
I really enjoyed this book! We are going to Romania for a month, and I was more nervous than excited. But this book was fantastic in describing all the great variety of things to do in Bucharest, and naming specific places to go. The author obviously has a great love for Bucharest, and the narrator conveys it to readers so infectiously!
To be honest I ordered the paper copy of this book as well, because I was so excited by the author’s recommendations, but knew I couldn’t possibly remember them or write them down in Romanian. Nevertheless I feel the audiobook served an important purpose in increasing my enthusiasm for our trip. Before listening to this book, I already had access to a lot of information on Romania, but was not interested enough to read it!
I have filled in our itinerary quite a bit with the author’s recommendations, and can’t wait to try it all out!
