About this listen

If you make a wish on the box you must decide if you're willing to pay the price. When Jack got the promotion he needed he didn't think about the cost, even when bad things happen to those who might stand in his way he doesn't waiver. It's not until he realises that the price is higher than he'd ever imagined that he starts to understand where greed can lead you.

A box with shadowy secrets

Received as an audiobook through the narrator, this is an honest review. With a fiery performance by Grant Love, Greed Box becomes this thrilling poignant emotional story of be careful of what you wish for... because what comes with it as much more messed up than a person can imagine. At for the married couple Jack and Meg, their lives are good even after a purchase of highly crafted wooden box from a shop that came a harrowing fairy tale that can't really be believed. That this old box can grant wishes; and as things begin to spiral down for Meg and Jack, the temptation to put their desperate luck into a box they no longer ignore. What comes after putting a wish into the box turns into a daunting nightmare to survive what a dangerous ancient goblin deems you must give in return. To escape looming consequences means hunting the dark past of a box and even the mysterious shop owner that can help the couple defeat a dark creature and make the box its eternal prison.

Highly recommended.

greed or a better life???

The victims in this story weren't truly greedy but looking for a leg up and a better life. Where's the harm in that???? A greedy soul sucking troll is the greedy one, not those looking to make their situations improved. Each tale is more vile than the last one and the troll seems unstoppable!!! I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did an excellent job bringing the characters and story to life. The sound effects are especially creepy to get you in the mood.

Karma

Wow this is a chilling tale! It makes me grateful for all I have! The story was well done and I didn’t like the characters but I don’t think you are supposed to because they are greedy! I feel for the good ones though! Entertaining listen!

Great story with an amazing narrator

"Greed Box" by Molly Garcia is a captivating horror novella that explores the dark consequences of unchecked greed. The story's tension builds steadily, pulling you into its chilling narrative as the protagonist's descent into obsession and moral decay unfolds. Garcia's writing keeps you hooked, and the suspense is palpable throughout.

The standout of the experience is the narrator, Grant Love, whose exceptional delivery enhances the story's atmosphere. His use of varied voice tones and eerie sound effects adds an immersive layer that brings the horror to life, making it impossible to stop listening. If you're a fan of psychological horror that delves into the human psyche, this is a must-read (or in this case, must-listen).

Quiet scary story

I say scary because the subject of greed can effect us all. This novel was a perfect listen while I’m recovering from the flu. The narration was excellent.

Very Good Story

Good Story of where greed could get you on a wish, just remember there is a price. Such a malevolent goblin, who happily grants wishes with a undisclosed price, is not something I would ever want to come across. Narrator does a very good job with the characters and entire storyline.
