About this listen

Sometimes the biggest ripples come from the smallest events. Like the day that Emma Guthrie, drop-out college student, walks into world-famous movie star Garrett Walker's trailer, and walks out on her way to becoming Mrs. Emma Walker, wife of an A-list actor. With her husband's encouragement, Emma pens a screenplay based on her life, which becomes a blockbuster sensation. Through it all, Garrett is her ally and her mentor... until Emma discovers an incriminating text message on Garrett's cell phone. Devastated, Emma flees New York City for a sleepy coastal town in Mexico, where no one recognizes her. There, she meets Ben, who teaches her about the healing powers of surfing and ultimately opens her up to the possibility of love.

Really fun beach read about an escape to the beach

Any additional comments?

This was a light listen but a lot of fun. Anyone who has been to Sayulita or learned to suf will appreciate this book. And who hasn't thought about dropping everything after a breakup and running away to a little beach town in Mexico? Really entertaining and fun,

Predictable but fun summer read

Normal romance novels with a few twists but you knew from beginning just how it was going to turn out

A nice beach read

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

It was a nice bit of fluff, good for a beach read, I would recommend it for someone who is looking for something light and easy. I do not think the storyline was very well developed.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Not too sure.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

It was okay .

Do you think Groundswell needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No

Wonderful story

I loved that the author chose to tell this story without it being full of foul language. It’s refreshing to listen to a story that isn’t filled with unnecessary words.
The main character transformed from someone trying to figure out who she is into a strong, independent woman.
I would love to see more writing works by this author.

lukewarm

Very, very predictable story and not well told. At the very beginng you already get to know how the first part is going to end. Afterwards not much excitement either, at best the plot gets lukewarm.
The narration is without continuity and I found it at times almost wearisome.
