About this listen
The only way to fulfill her quest was to die!
Serena Brimstone, fierce warrior woman of the Northlands, awoke to find the enormous diamond she had recently claimed from a dying stranger embedded in her chest. But that wasn't the oddest thing. Suddenly, old sparring partners refuse to fight her. Enemies throw down their weapons and profess their undying love for her. How's a woman supposed to get into a good, knockdown drag-out when all anyone will do is worship her?
When Serena and three magicians are recruited by the enigmatic leader to seek out a legendary wizard and promised their hearts' desires in return, she hopes she has finally found a way to be rid of the diamond and the adoration it causes others to feel for her. But things don't go as planned for the contentious new companions of Serena—Orchid, Tresado, and Foxx (that's with two xs). They will need all their skills—and their senses of humor—as they deal with deception and betrayal, hungry river crocs, dart-wielding pygmies, an ancient water spirit, and a fabulous pleasure palace that thinks for itself.
Join Group Six as they journey up the River Talus on the magically-powered catamaran enchanter in search of spells, swordplay, wealth, and a rousing good time! This audiobook is for anyone who likes science and magic, a dash of humor, lighthearted action sequences, monsters and swordplay, and solving a continuing mystery. For fans of Piers Anthony, Robert Asprin, Fritz Leiber, and Terry Pratchett.

Meet Karn. He is destined to take over the family farm in Norrøngard. His only problem? He'd rather be playing the board game Thrones and Bones. Enter Thianna. Half human, half frost giantess. She's too tall to blend in with other humans but too short to be taken seriously as a giant. When family intrigues force Karn and Thianna to flee into the wilderness, they have to keep their sense of humor and their wits about them. But survival can be challenging when you're being chased by a 1,500-year-old dragon, an evil uncle, wyverns, and an assortment of trolls and giants.

Story
This is a spellbinding tale woven of equal parts epic and myth - with a liberal dash of hard science fiction. When a one-way time tunnel to Earth’s distant past, specifically six million B.C., was discovered by folks on the Galactic Milieu, every misfit for light-years around hurried to pass through it. Each sought his own brand of happiness. But none could have guessed what awaited them. Not even in a million years....

But when he goes too far during a televised stream, he's handed a punishment unlike any other. Instead of the usual ban or suspension, Chad's sentenced to thirty days of full immersion therapy in Isle of Mythos—a world of epic fantasy filled with dungeons and mythical creatures. The twist? Story
Alec began his 18th birthday with the temple monks. By day's end, he discovers he possesses magical abilities. Except his magic is unique. He doesn't require grimoires and incantations to cast spells. Alec's magic is entirely natural. He can, somehow, absorb the elements from objects and manipulate them according to his will. This power is incredible, but difficult to master. If he's going to learn how to use his natural magic, it'll take the tutelage of Archmage Diamondspear, one of the most adept magic users in the kingdom.

Painfully disjointed, scattered writing, punchlines that fall flat
This was one of the most painful stories I’ve ever read. Weak character development, unexplained world building, horrible continuity. The book jumps between character and timelines constantly. Many stories may have some backgrounds provided but I’ve never seen a book jump around so much, so often for no apparent reason. 2 weeks earlier, 1 week in the future, present day, 1,000 years in the future, sometime in the past…. 6 main characters, hundreds of different dates and a few side characters thrown in and out of the mix for nearly the whole book.
