When she was suddenly given the opportunity of a new life in rural Jutland, journalist and archetypal Londoner Helen Russell discovered a startling statistic: the happiest place on earth isn't Disneyland but Denmark, a land often thought of by foreigners as consisting entirely of long, dark winters, cured herring, Lego and pastries. Story
The real stories behind the scenery of America’s national parks. For 12 years, Andrea Lankford lived in the biggest, most impressive national parks in the world, working a job she loved. She chaperoned baby sea turtles on their journey to sea. She pursued bad guys on her galloping patrol horse. She jumped into rescue helicopters bound for the heart of the Grand Canyon. She won arguments with bears. She slept with a few too many rattlesnakes. Hell yeah, it was the best job in the world! Fortunately, Andrea survived it.

When Edmund Hillary first conquered Mt. Everest, Sherpa Tenzing Norgay was at his side. Indeed, for as long as Westerners have been climbing the Himalaya, Sherpas have been the unsung heroes in the background. In August 2008, when eleven climbers lost their lives on K2, the world’s most dangerous peak, two Sherpas survived. They had emerged from poverty and political turmoil to become two of the most skillful mountaineers on earth. Based on unprecedented access and interviews, Buried in the Sky reveals their astonishing story for the first time.

She would recommend it to our next trip Thailand.
When my daughter returned from a two-week college trip to Thailand, she had nothing but good things to say about this book. She liked the length, the bright sides, and reliable information. She would recommend it to our next trip to Thailand.

I have been happily listening to this audiobook.
I have been happily listening to this audiobook on and off for months, pending my trip to India next month. So well organized, so much indispensable information, maps, etc. It will go with me to India for constant reference. Eye Witness does the best job when it comes to guiding books.

The information is useful.
I have purchased several other travel books on the region. This is the best travel book in Thailand I have bought. It is clearly organized, information is spectacular and abundant, and the information is useful. I will turn to other audiobooks from now on.

Awesome book - informative listen.
Been to Thailand a few times, but you still need a book to help you see other things you may have missed the first few times. If you are thinking about going...please do. It's a fantastic place. A book like this is small enough to throw into a backpack or a day pack while your out and about.

I love all of tips from the audiobooks. This book didn't fail me. It has all the important history, places, food, locations, etc. that I need. The book is broken down by region, allowing me to focus on one region at a time to learn about. I would buy again.

Excellent as the audiobooks always are.
I love this series, particularly for Thailand. It presents places, sights in a different way, which is extremely helpful for me. I use this along with the conventional audiobooks.
