About this listen

Gunnora Silverhair, the Eldil princess of Carvaldor, flees the castle after she overhears her father arranging her marriage to Hugh the Horrible, the local ogre. She takes sanctuary in the Enchanted Forest with Hanna, the old wisewoman, who calls her Nory. She continues her lessons in healing magic which her mother had begun before her death.

While in the forest, Nory heals Ragon, the Prince of Diamante. During his recuperation, Vildor, Ragon's uncle, murders his father. Before Ragon's father died, he had arranged Ragon's marriage to Princess Raksha. Honor bound, he must return to his kingdom and marry her.

Ragon returns to Diamante, where Vildor's sorcerer, Mord, creates a spell that imprisons Ragon within a giant ruby. They intend for Ragon to remain a prisoner forever because only dragon magic can free Ragon. Nory and her dragon friends must find Ragon and free him, or he will remain within the ruby forever.

This is a young adult read.

What would have made Gunnora's Dragons better?

The idea of the story has promise but the author keeps thing simple and straight forward for a childs mind.

Would you ever listen to anything by Carol Dennis again?

Probaby not if she is a children's author.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Karen Savage?

Maybe, she has a very young sweet voice. it would depend on the story.

Any additional comments?

For parents who may be reviewing this story for their children...this book doesn't contain any adult language or inappropriate content for young children. The characters in the book speak politely to one another (even the evil uncle sounds like a simpleton who gets irritated toward others). All the children in the story are obedient and polite to the adults. This is a very safe book to read.
