Publisher's summary
From Douglas Cobb, the best-selling author of Crossing the Dead Line: The Guns of Bass Reeves, and Men of Iron Will comes his new hit Western, Gunshots on Hell's Border. Justice, mercy, and retribution come in many forms. For this cowboy, it comes in the form of his gun - a gun he uses to judge the guilty and provide ample punishment.
Matt “The Boot Collector” Hardy leads an interesting life as a bounty hunter in the territory surrounding the wild town of Fort Smith, Arkansas, otherwise known as “Hell’s Border”. Living by his own rules, he always gets his men, more often dead than alive, ridding the area of the meanest outlaws, and adding their boots to his collection of trophies. A family man at heart, when he isn’t hunting outlaws, he lives peacefully with his wife and son on his farm across the river from Hell’s Border. Everything changes, however, when evil crosses that border and invades his family.
Filled to the brim with action, adventure, plot twists, and a deadly cat-and-mouse-game of gunsight justice - Gunshots on Hell’s Border introduces you to a cowboy you should never cross. His name is Matt “The Boot Collector” Hardy, and this is a audiobook filled with the dead, the dying and those who don’t get in his way - because those who do cross this man end up dead. Real dead. Meet Gunshots on Hell’s Border from Douglas R. Cobb.

Story
Obituary writer Nadine Barbault doesn’t mind being called “Lady Death”. It suits the ice queen persona she’s cultivated to survive the fast-paced Toronto Herald. So when Nadine learns that famous (and reclusive) author Dot Voline has died, she doesn’t hesitate to run the obituary…only to discover that Dot is very much alive. Nadine’s screw-up has brought Wesley Chen of the rival Spear no end of joy—she’s been a thorn in his extremely ambitious side for years. But the renewed interest in Dot also surfaced chatter about a mysterious past scandal.

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

Romance can be a little complicated when you get sucked into a wormhole. Just ask high school English teacher June Flint. One little solar flare happens and suddenly you find yourself 85 years in the future. Eighty-five years from your dream job. Your ailing mother whose only companion in this world is you. Your favorite stuffed-crust pizza from DeLucia’s on Sunday nights. But when June’s cell phone inexplicably picks up a signal, she’s able to call back to the present—more specifically, four weeks before she accidentally time traveled.

Matt Hardy
This is a great Bounty Hunter Book. Bounty hunting is my favorite genre. In this book Matt Hardy is a Bounty Hunter and he always gets his guy Dead or Alive. Matt goes after a gang of outlaws and is successful. Then his kid is kidnapped and he goes after them and gets some help from a guy a lot like him. This is one of the best short books I've listened to. I will buy any books I can find about Matt Hardy. As of right now I don't know of anymore. Stephen Floyd does a great job narrating this book.
