About this listen
This book is more than just a silly story. It is a language learning super tool. It teaches about important high frequency Spanish words (HFWs), biomes, food chains and animals. It does this through a multitude of modalities, songs, and cognates.
Había una abuela addresses California teaching standards: fourth grade, carnivore-omnivore, fifth grade, biomes, kinder, stories about animals, first grade, and animals' need for food.

Great to learn Spanish. Crazy grandma who ate all kinds of crazy things. Loved flashcards in the back.
Loved the silly grandma and songs on that go along with it by the same author. Song is pop and upbeat and sings a funny song about a grandma swallowing sill stuff.
