Loved it !!!!!!

Das Vorlesen war sehr gekonnt, die Stimme passte haargenau, all die Details brachten mich
ständig zum Kichern.

The keen observations of two women in that time period in Germany were hilarious. I enjoyed the voice of the narrator which enhanced the story splendidly

This book really benefits from the advanced age of its author

I loved this book, which offers a very believable glimpse into the lives and ambitions of young women of post-war Germany. You can tell that the author experienced those years herself, rather than reconstructing them from books or archival sources. Nina Petri does a wonderful job as narrator. Ihre Wiedergabe des Bonner Dialektes gefiel mir sehr gut!
