About this listen

Bolt is the general foreman for Tug Mackintosh's railroad line, which is competing with Sirus Proctor's railroad to reach Breakneck Pass. The narrow gap is only wide enough for one line, meaning the other crew will have to skirt the mountain range at the cost of several weeks and many extra miles of track. Also, the first crew to arrive at the main line will be awarded the mail delivery contract and a prime spot for their dock. To complicate the situation, Tug has arranged to marry his junior partner's daughter, in lieu of his contributing more money to the railroad line. Ariette Ekhard is given no choice about being an asset for her father's business, so is committed to the deal. However, if she was to go missing, it would delay Mackintosh's line and be worth a lot of money to both Proctor and Mackintosh. Bolt is caught in the middle, charged with the reluctant bride's safety and dealing with a gang of murderers. If that weren't enough, he falls for the young, society-bred lady. When the final battle comes, Bold has to face his loyalty to Mackintosh while risking his life to save the girl and himself! Genre Fiction Westerns
