Walter urged his horse into a gallop and slid off as he reached a clump of rocks. He fell onto his face, the rocks ripping skin off his face. Walter cursed. He put his hand to his face. It was wet. He put his hand in front of his face. Blood glistened on it. He crawled further into the rocks, pulled off his bandanna, and wiped the blood from his face. The blood kept flowing, although easing. Damn, I left my rifle on the horse. The horse was ten yards off grazing.
