Publisher's summary

If you want to discover the captivating life of Harriet Tubman, then pay attention...

Harriet Tubman was known as a “conductor” on the Underground Railroad. But this wasn’t a railroad that carried trains and freight but rather human lives that were desperately seeking freedom. It was a clandestine group of individuals (hence the name “underground”) scattered across the United States and Canada who helped facilitate the migration of those ensnared in the South’s scourge of slavery to the so-called free states and provinces of the North.

Harriet’s years of bondage were dreadful, and she had the scars to prove it. She also had recurring headaches from when a heavy two-pound weight used for weighing produce struck her in the head. Neither her scars nor her headaches would ever leave her, and they served as a constant reminder of what she had gone through. In fact, some biographies assert that as she got older, the headaches only grew worse.

But Harriet was a fighter. And she insisted on those around her having that same fighting spirit, as well. Her steely determination was forged on the Underground Railroad, where to turn back meant slavery, severe punishment, and possibly death. Harriet Tubman traveled up and down the backroads in the dead of night, with only her own wits and her faith in God to help her.

In Harriet Tubman: A Captivating Guide to an American Abolitionist Who Became the Most Famous Conductor of the Underground Railroad, you will discover chapters, such as:

Interesting history

I am truly confused by Harriet's strength and courage to wrestle our people from the grips of slavery and deprivation. A brilliant warrior..a a truly extraordinary woman..an awe-inspiring account of her life. MOSES was actually her name.

I would recommended this to anyone.

The Author did her very best not only to document ms. Tubman's actions, but to support her memories with third parties. The writer did this so that any analysis of the truth of this bio could be exposed. I am sure there are more accurate and\or more modern biographies of Harriet Tubman. But this biography helps from personal sources:

Thanks you

The writing is old-fashioned and kind of in a voice and style that Harriet would have spoken in sometimes. I must say I more than enjoyed the book; I loved it! There were moments in her mission that left you breathless....scared she would be discovered. I think every American should follow it.

A story of a great woman

The story of Harriet is one of faith and courage - faith is more important. I would suggest this book to any lover of history. I am glad I have learned it. Harriet Tubman was a giant among people, and I very much would like to have known her.

Great way to introduce a dry topic

This book shows that one is a majority with the Lord God Almighty onside, it shows that it does not matter the details of one's situation the will of God commands, the heroine had nothing but God gave her just what she needed to be the Moses of her people. The experienced Christian will easily understand and recognize the hand of God in the narrative.

the Most Famous Conductor of the Underground Railr

Trust in God will raise them up. Her hurt and her pain did not make her lose her attitude and her faith in God and her goal of rescuing her people. And she did it selflessly. The story is exciting and well written, including some of her own words.

Nice guide

Incredible. You can't beat a solid historically character-driven book that's based on real life. I hope the (2019) film is as good as the book. I will follow it and leave my view of it soon.
