It helps
A lot of talk therapy seems to require buying in to established concepts like development or approach. For me, this runs on the same thing. It works, but also if you let it. Thielke has more or less the same introduction for all of these hypnosis sleep guides, so it definitely helps you get to sleep. He gives just enough guided imagery for your brain to be able to fill in the gaps. It encourages sleep because every second he's telling you to feel lighter and all that stuff. It's very helpful for falling asleep.
I think the main topic does get worked on as well. Sometimes I can't sleep, like my brain is still in ADHD world and it can't shut off. This means I'm awake and listening to what he has to offer about the break up, and it does end up being something I've never thought about so even consciously it has had an effect, and being reminded of that night after night sort of drills it in there even if I'm not. the subconscious is always listening and doesn't always tell us what it's thinking. So it makes sense to deceiver the messages to it because it's the one driving these sad memories or clinging to attachments. this morning I woke up and thought a little less about it and felt a little less sad. Part because it works, and a smaller little part because I wanted it to work. But again, that's even in therapy.

Great experience
I laughed as I told my mother "I sure hope he is saying good things because I have never made it to the bottom of the stair case that he has me walk down!" I have never had a hypnosis tape put me in such a fast deep sleep and while I am a work in progress, I definitely notice major improvements on how I feel and the negative emotions I once felt towards my ex and toward myself. I highly recommend this book. 👌
