Susan S. Scott
Susan S. Scott is an experienced psychotherapist who, due to a back injury, was forced to abandon her therapist's couch and walk for therapy. Through her extended strolls through nature, she discovered the ingenious ability of trees to grow around obstacles and, in essence, heal themselves. The result of Dr. Scott's musings is Healing with Nature.
This collection of stories and photos describes a different aspect of the healing process. Listeners will learn how to observe their natural environment with fresh eyes, tap into their own self-healing powers, and discover creative ways to become the master of their own lives. An inspiring listen for anyone with an interest in spiritual growth!

Editorial reviews
One only needs to look at the twisted trunks of trees to understand that nature knows how to heal, which is what psychotherapist Susan S. Scott did after a devastating back injury forced her to walk with her clients rather than sitting, in order to avoid pain. Calmly narrated by renowned English stage actress Elizabeth Jasicki, these tales of strolls through the woods, and the introspective discoveries Scott made while in the process of self-healing, make up Healing with Nature. Throughout, Jasicki's performance is soothing and understated, allowing listeners to fully relax as they follow the path of Scott's healing process through inspiring bucolic settings.
Would you listen to Healing with Nature again? Why?
If I ever get a major injury or illness, and need help feeling better and getting perspective - this will be the first book I turn too. There is something beautiful and touching about the book as much as there is help available here in self-healing through finding nature.Have you listened to any of Elizabeth Jasicki’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I haven't listened to any of Jasicki's narrations before, but I absolutely adored her narration. She has a beautiful, lyrical voice that could not have been more perfect for this book.Any additional comments?
I recommend anyone trying to heal from an injury or illness to pick this up. Society today has lost so much touch today with nature and the world around oneself. This book will help you figure out how to get back there, and I think it will help you start to heal and discover yourself.Get outside! It's beautiful out there and full of magic!
