About this listen
“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”
Luke 6:45 NKJV Donesa shares her heart from an abundance of lessons learned in life and through the word shows the rare beauty of scripture applied to our everyday activities. The wisdom and beauty shared is both beautiful and powerful through the word of God.

Story
The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Story
The book of Enoch was thought to be lost for over 2,000 years until, in 1773, a traveller brought three copies back from Ethiopia. Whether or not this ancient book was actually authored by Enoch, the father of Methuselah and great-grandfather of Noah, is an ongoing debate among historians and theologians. But all recognise the book of Enoch as one of the most important apocalyptic works outside of the Bible.

The secret to happiness is to acknowledge and transform suffering, not to run away from it. Here, Thich Nhat Hanh offers practices and inspiration transforming suffering and finding true joy. Thich Nhat Hanh acknowledges that because suffering can feel so bad, we try to run away from it or cover it up by consuming. We find something to eat or turn on the television. But unless we’re able to face our suffering, we can’t be present and available to life, and happiness will continue to elude us.

The Unconditional Love of God
This beautiful collection of the author's personal life tied to the truth of God's word was truly special. I have grown up in the church my whole life and was not unfamiliar with the scriptures and stories she mentioned, but each reenactment commented more on how much God is for us and loves us. Many times, it is when we look back that we see his hand more clearly than when experiencing it in real time. I have often chosen to remember His faithfulness in the past to get me through the next situation or trial. It is never the same, but His way is always the best for us, which builds a trusting relationship with Him as we journey through life to eternity.

A Heartfelt Journey Through Scripture and Life
"Heart Abounding: Reflections of God Moments" by Donesa is truly something special. As I listened, it felt like I was sitting with a close friend who shared personal stories of faith, lessons learned, and how scripture has shaped everyday moments. Donesa's reflections are both relatable and uplifting, weaving the beauty of God’s word into real-life situations in such a powerful way.
The way she connects scripture to the ups and downs of life really resonated with me. It reminded me that faith isn't just for Sundays—it's something we can carry into all aspects of our lives. If you're looking for a book that encourages you to reflect on your walk with God in a down-to-earth, heartfelt way, this is it. Highly recommend!
