 Set in rural eastern Kansas, Sam Stone is a 28 year old who lost his parents and siblings in a car accident ten years prior to a drunk driver, causing him some deep rooted psychological issues. He is also a Wildlife Refuge Technician working for the U.S. Department of Fish & Wildlife takes it upon himself to tip the scales of justice as a vigilante after a close friend and coworker, Ashley Carter is shot on duty while trying to apprehend a poacher. He kills the poacher inadvertently and then finds a prompt way to get rid of the body. Once he develops a taste for it, he goes after other criminals who have slipped through the cracks of the justice system, walking a dangerous line between his new hobby and a blossoming new relationship with Ashley.
