Story
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

Story
Narrator Dan Stevens ( Downton Abbey) presents an uncanny performance of Mary Shelley's timeless gothic novel, an epic battle between man and monster at its greatest literary pitch. In trying to create life, the young student Victor Frankenstein unleashes forces beyond his control, setting into motion a long and tragic chain of events that brings Victor to the very brink of madness. How he tries to destroy his creation, as it destroys everything Victor loves, is a powerful story of love, friendship, scientific hubris, and horror.

A well-written story from a good author
Heavenly Blessing (Audible Audio), my twenty-first read from Christian author Becca Fisher. Another enjoyable, 44-minute short read/listen. I have to say that the author packs a lot into the pages of this Amish novelette. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reading & reviewing it. Stephanie Richardson’s narration adds to the short book's enjoyment. I'll be reading more from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Miriam's story
I am loving this series. Now we look at Miriam, the 3rd and last daughter of Samuel and Emma. Her heart belongs to Jed, but Jed wants to see the outside world. What will she do? I don't want to give it away! These novellas are well written and engaging. The narrator is doing a great job and makes the story come to life. I was given a copy of this audiobook in exchange for my honest opinion, which this is. I highly recommend this set of novellas!

Amish love
I was given a free copy of this Audiobook In exchange for an honest review. I think this book shows a good glimpse into some of the decisions that Amish must face. What will young girl do, stay and work in the families quilt shop and marry an Amish boy or go to the city and marry someone not of the faith. I really like the quote from this book. The bible words never change but how they change you is endless depending on where you are in your life different versus grab you when you need them the most. When in doubt turn to the bible.

A young woman finds her own path
Abigail is a young Amish woman, with a plain, simple life laid out for her. As the oldest of three daughters, her father intends for her to inherit the family quilting shop, He also has her husband all picked out for her.
Abigail doesn't care for the man, though, and also doesn't love quilting the way the other women in her family do. She also wants to see more of the world than their little town. Surely it's possible to live a Godly life elsewhere? Even in Philadelphia?
Despite her father's opposition, she goes to Philadelphia, finds an apartment, a job, and a church, and begins to explore living a Godly life without the restrictions of Amish life.
This is a very sweet romance, with a young woman finding her own path and her own happiness, without losing her own faith and values.
I receved a free copy of this audiobook from the author, and am reviewing it voluntarily.

Heavenly Blessing
A short sweet Amish story that gives a glimpse into the life of one young girl.
Abigail is not ready to give up everything she is to follow the strict wishes of her father. Some difficult decisions need to be made... will there be peace for everyone involved?
While this was a super short story, by Becca Fisher, I really enjoyed it.
Stephanie Richardson did a lovely job with the narration. A great performance.
