A well-written story from a very good author

Heavenly Temptation, my sixteenth read from Christian author Becca Fisher. An enjoyable, 49-minute short read/listen. I have to say that the author packs a lot into the pages of this Amish novelette. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reading & reviewing it. Stephanie Richardson’s narration adds to the book's enjoyment. I'll be reading more from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Sweet, charming story of Amish courtship

Allison Kaufman is the younger sister of Abigail, who not long ago left Lancaster and Amish country for Philadelphia, and marriage to a kind, loving, devout, upright--Englisher. Her father didn't handle it well, and still isn't. Abigail was his favorite, and was supposed to take over the family quilt shop.

Allison is still at home, and is still the second daughter, not the oldest and the favorite. After trying to control every decision Abigail made, Samuel barely has time to notice what his second daughter is doing.

Allison is also far more committed to the Amish way of life.

When the handsome, kind, devout Englisher, Lucas, comes into the quilt shop to buy quilts for his aunt's hotel, Allison is immediately attracted to him--and he to her. But what will another daughter marrying an Englisher do to her family? Would Lucas even consider becoming Amish?

This is another sweet, charming story about good people looking for love and a happy ending. Lucas, Allison, and her mother, Emma, are all likable characters.

I received this audiobook free from the publisher, and am reviewing it voluntarily.

Sweet

This short quick listen gives a glimpse into the life of Allison. She always was second best to her sister and didn't think she would ever find love. When Englisher, Lucas takes and interest though, her faith is tested and their love strong. But does he love enough to join her faith? Life comes with a lot of choices, and I enjoyed this sweet love story and the road it took. Stephanie Richardson narrates it with the feelings of frustration, love and compassion.

Heavenly Temptation

A sweet Amish romance.

When Allison falls for an Englisher, she’s truly torn. How can she follow her heart when that could mean turning her back on her upbringing? When it’s true love, things have a way of working out.

While this was a super short story, by Becca Fisher, I really enjoyed it.

Stephanie Richardson did a lovely job with the narration. A great performance.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Heavenly Temptation

I honestly can't relate to this story. I consider myself spiritual, but have been truly raised to accept and love everyone. My parents raised me on this principle:

Birthplace: Earth
Race: Human
Politics: Freedom
Religion: Love
It's that easy.

To have to choose between my family and love is incomprehensible, and I know it's something I'd never have to do. Love is never a mistake.
While it's interesting to see another side of religion, it just blows my mind.
I don't even know what else to say.

Alison's story - I loved it!

First, I have to say that I was given a copy of this audio novella exchange for my honest review. I loved this story! This is a brief glimpse into the second daughter's story. Feeling like she will never meet the man of her dreams, Alison is surprised when one day he walks into her life. But! he is an outsider. Torn and not knowing what to do or how her family, especially her Father will react, she moves forward with the relationship. What happens? I definitely recommend you listen to the story to find out! I"read" this one first, but itis the second in the Heavenly series.

Love Or Approval Of Parents

Allison struggles when parents are against, and Amish children tend to do what father has said. Will she chose love or approval. Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
