Publisher's summary

Say goodbye to uncertainty and frustration, and start thriving during the toddler years!

Parenting a toddler is like navigating a ship through a stormy sea–both exhilarating and challenging.

Every day, you watch them explore, grow, and learn; it can be magical, but it also comes with its own set of challenges.

From heightened emotions to finicky eating, and bedtime battles to difficulties with sharing, toddlerhood can be one of the most challenging phases to parent.

Their constant curiosity, desire to explore, and tendency to touch everything make setting boundaries a daunting task–not to mention the frequent tantrums, periodic hitting, and the occasional “I hate you.”

And then there are the matters of safety…

Your little baby, once content to lie down or reach for soft toys, is now walking–no, running, full speed ahead–and it can be hard enough to keep up with them, let alone keep them safe!

If it all seems a bit overwhelming and you constantly feel like you are doing everything wrong, don’t worry! This book serves as your trusted companion on this remarkable journey.

It contains a wealth of scientifically-backed, real-life techniques to help you navigate this unique time in your child’s life with confidence and joy.

In this audio, you will discover:

  • Exactly how your little one thinks, helping you avoid common pitfalls encountered by most moms.
  • Step-by-step guidance on implementing positive discipline to get results!
  • The right way to approach toilet training–understand exactly how to make this a stress-free and enjoyable transition.
  • How to navigate crucial milestones with ease–uncover the best techniques to achieve weaning off the breast/bottle, handle separation anxiety, and transition your toddler to a big kid bed.
  • Various parenting styles and information on how to raise a happy, well-rounded adult–start implementing 5 positive parenting strategies today!
  • The importance of prioritizing play to enhance your child's learning and development, plus practical tips on exactly how to encourage play.
  • How to encourage your toddler to embrace new foods and develop lifelong healthy eating habits.
  • What you can control about your toddler's sleep to help them fall asleep and stay asleep independently.
  • Practical and reliable strategies for effectively managing toddler challenges, including screen time, sharing battles, and tantrums.

And so much more.

Parenting a toddler often feels like a roller-coaster ride. While there will be times when everything seems to be going smoothly, your toddler can change in the blink of an eye, flipping from charming to assertive and contrary, without rhyme or reason.

When this happens, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and uncertain about the best course of action.

And that’s where this guide becomes your ally…

It’s packed with plenty of hands-on advice to help you deal with any challenges that come your way, so that you can enjoy a wealth of magical moments and memories with your toddler.

Such a Help!

Isn't it time we stopped referring to them as toddlers and started calling them little tyrants? This is such a handy audio book on mothering toddlers because nobody with a toddler actually has the time to sit down and read. Well written and wonderfully narrated this book was such a help when trying to determine what works with sleep schedules, weaning, and age appropriate discipline. Also simply confirming that you aren't just doing it all wrong!

Embrace the Terrific Twos!!

With a toddler and a soon-to-be toddler in my house, I found this resource to be grounding, encouraging, and SO helpful. There is so much wisdom packed into this audiobook. Listen to it more than once to really let it settle in.

I loved this quote:

“Your job isn't to make them more reasonable, to stop the meltdowns, or to force them to consider other people's emotions. Your job is to find a balanced approach to help them navigate this stage, rather than trying to eliminate what you might see as issues. If you can accept this as a new toddler mom, it can be an incredibly rewarding experience, filled with countless moments of joy, learning, and growth.”

We’ve found this to be true. And I really wish I’d seen this sooner. But parenthood is all about learning and trying and then learning some more and trying some more … right?

Well this book is loaded with great stuff to learn and try! From understanding a toddler’s developmental stages and needs, to empowering parents to have good routines and safety, this is a great go-to. I loved the chapter on play!! It’s not only fun, but also very powerful!

I love that it comes from a positive parenting perspective. That’s the way we want to go, and so I really appreciate that lens being held throughout. It addresses discipline from this angle, and other important topics.

All in all a great read for any parent wanting to sharpen their parenting skills, and deepen their compassion for their little ones.

Helpful tool

When you are a new mom and are entering the stages of toddlerhood, any help you can get is appreciated. Each and every toddler is different so hearing the various techniques that can be utilized has been very helpful. I am a mom with an older child but my youngest is far different. One was super hyper and jumping off the walls and never slept whereas the other did what they were asked, very calm and wanted to spend more time snuggling. The book covers several topics that any mom would find helpful so whether you are a new mom or not, I could almost guarantee there are facts and techniques shared in this book that you would find helpful. It is clear this author wanted to provide a one stop shop for all the various issues you could encounter as well as provide multiple options that would work best for you.

Great Help!

After listening to this, I felt a lot less scared about the crazy toddler times. It's a helpful guide, telling you it's gonna be okay and showing you some neat tricks to keep the peace. I laughed at the part where it talked about toddlers being little explorers who just don't know when to stop, cause it's so true. The book's got some smart ways to handle the meltdowns and the "no" phase that had me pulling my hair out. Felt good to finish it, kinda like I just got a big hug and a pat on the back, telling me I got this.
