This is a complex plot with a lot of characters, especially villains, and a lot of action. Occasionally I felt like I missed a step in the plot. I appreciate the faith element, although it was subtle. Virtual voice narration is actually better than my initial expectations. However some mispronounced words jolted, and it was sometimes hard to tell who is talking because everything is spoken in a female voice.

Twisty tale

I’m trying to finish the book but it’s hard. I do not like the VV. You can’t tell one character from the next and whether it’s the male or the female. I spent so much time trying to figure out who was talking, that I missed most of the storyline. I’ve been an Audible member for years, but if everyone is going to start using VV, I’ll have to cancel my subscription.

Virtual voice not for me.
