Great story line

That said, the character, Jane, that the author has created in the Redemption Creek books, is probably the most obnoxious character I've seen in a book in a long time. It's been pure irritation, reading any of the books with her as the main character. Her rash personality, that not only puts herself in danger, but others as well, in their desire to not see her killed, is an irritation in itself.
I should have quit any books with her in it, as the main obnoxious character, when in the first book, she hands over her life savings of 30 grand, to an ex husband that is a habitual liar and cheat. No woman in their right mind would do such a stupid thing.
In Hidden Sins, Jane's bossy character is painted as a domineering, arrogant, rash, quick to anger, (where she has no right to be angry), control freak. Demanding apologies when, Jane, the bully, doesn't get her way. She describes the men on the team and others as arrogant, hard headed and pigheaded, yet, that is, exactly, the description of Jane's personality. The men on the team have been nothing but gracious and considerate with her acting like a controlling spoiled brat. She acts like she's the paying boss over the team that came in on their own, to find her brother. She's not paying them, nor, is she their boss, yet, she's angry if they don't include her in all their actions, and demands explanations from them. All the while, the author paints, Jane, as someone that others admire!
She's a character, that in real life, many males and females, would avoid at all costs.
I don't know if I can stomach any more books with this Jane as the main character. Not worth the aggravation, even if the mystery portion, itself is decent.
Decent Mystery
