Publisher's summary

A Hellcat demon shifter with no interest in love...

Centuries ago, Garth awoke in the center of a mystical stone henge in the Scottish Highlands with no memories. A dragon shifter, Lachlan, and wolf shifter, Leslie, rescue Garth and take him to Castle MacWulver. The castle is the home of Clan MacWulver - a group of demon shifters blending in with human society while trying to find their fated Judge, a very special human with a pure heart and soul whose love has the power to redeem a demon of their sins.

A mad scientist and veterinarian who is afraid to love...

Sasha Robinovitch doesn't like humans, but loves her genetically engineered monster pets. One day, after pulling an all-nighter, Sasha has a candy craving, and decides to go to a candy shop named Helltastic Confectionary. There she meets the owner Garth Mackenzie. He's a giant of a man at six-eight with bulging muscles and an intense golden stare. Terrified of his thuggish appearance, Sasha tries to flee but when she unexpectedly hears his thoughts in her mind she discovers he's not so scary after all.

Will an unlikely friendship blossom into true love?

Garth sells candy during the day as he reluctantly tries to find his fated Judge. At night he participates in matches hosted by illegal, underground fight clubs while trying to discover the whereabouts of his Archenemy the Red Priest. Centuries ago, the priest defeated Clan MacWulver and trapped the shifters in their animal forms using powerful Druidic magic. Ever since Garth's people have been forced to fight sword-wielding Battle Priests and Battle Nuns in matches where rich, masked humans bet on the outcome of those fights.

Let your imagination go

This is the second listen i did. Love the paranormal. And this author has an imagination. Think everyone should try it out ./ it takes place in Scotland. The hell cat has been below but he has one chance of being freed . He has to do an assignment to get that freedom. While doing his assignment he meets his mate. He has to convince her to trust him

The narrator was okay. First time I listened to his voice. He was okay not the greatest though but okay

interesting story

this book was a bit like reading a very detailed fanfiction, you can clearly see the influence of Anime and fanfiction culture in the writing style. It was a nostalgic experience for me and it also made the book lighthearted in a way, like watching the anime Inuyasha or something (a teen favorite of mine). As a fanfiction I would say this is a good story, as a book I feel like some characters were a bit odd, details did not seem to fit- like Garth was a centuries old daemon shifter and has been living in the human world for so long- yet he is almost ignorant in some things. The story was interesting, and a good fantasy world was built into the story.

My main issue was the narration, the accents were OK-ish but it was so very slow! I had to push it up to 1.60 to feel like it was a normal reading pace. The narrator had a pleasant voice that complimented the book and characters but he was a bit odd at times.

love this book!

I absolutely love this book! from the story to the narrator, nothing was lacking for me! Robert's voice was perfect for Garth! He made me forget I was listening to book! He is so sexy and amazing in this story! Garth's story is revealed little by little throughout the book as his and Sasha fall in love without even knowing or seeing it! Sasha is one of my favorite characters and fits so well with Garth being so different from him with her clumsiness and amazing genius! I love her mad scientist vibe and can't wait to experience the sequel!

I liked it

I received this audiobook for free for an honest review. I liked this story quite a bit, but I didn’t like the cliffhanger. Garth would be the perfect boyfriend. I just wanted to give him hugs throughout this story.

I recommend this one, but be aware that it is definitely a cliffhanger story.

The artwork for this book explains Garth, but actual photos would be a better draw for readers.

Great Storyline

Loved the storyline! The book was mostly based in modern time but did have flashbacks to centuries past. Would have preferred more development of the underlying story of the demons and angels. Maybe an idea for a future book! The Scottish accent did throw me off for a bit but I soon became accustomed to it. Well done!

The Start of Something Good

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I love that this is the beginning of a friendship that could be a great love story. The ending defiantly left me wanting more.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Yes, I think I would enjoy this as a movie, as long as the special effects are good. It would be fun to visually see all the action and different side characters.

Any additional comments?

I received this book free for review.

It was a cute story

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this for a light beach read. With the Title and the cover I was expecting a book with a lot more action and thrilling story, it was more just a very mild but sweet story.

What other book might you compare Highlander Hellcat to and why?

I don't have an answer for this, I don't think I have read anything that is similar

What does Robert Ross bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Robert has a very nice soothing voice, and a Fantastic accent!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There was a couple of small giggles
