About this listen
Calum Shaw, the local sheriff, has a straightforward mission: to maintain order in his area. He's reluctant to enforce the constraining Tartan and Dress Act of 1746 and is equally unenthusiastic about dealing with the defiant Highlanders who continuously oppose the laws, regardless of their perceived injustice.
The last thing he wants is complications.
Enter Lorna Sutherland, who embodies complication. This determined Englishwoman has unexpectedly become the owner of land in the Scottish Highlands. She boldly ignores social norms and stubbornly dismisses any advice or rules in this wild land.
The situation becomes even more complex due to the emotions she evokes in Calum.
If only she weren't so enchanting.
Calum now faces the challenging task of ensuring Lorna's safety, a task made all the more difficult by her seemingly reckless disregard for her own well-being.

Good story
Overall, I thought that this was a pretty good story, The ending was a little bit rushed but I enjoyed listening to it and will listen to the remainder of the series.... The AI narrator was pretty good and if I wasn't told that this was AI I would not have known.... That being said I cannot give the AI performance a 5 star rating because it's not human. But I did enjoy the book.
