About this listen
You won’t find another book like this one!
Maury Davis is a colorful character and an accomplished leader. Few people can match the drama of his life’s story...from the prison to the pulpit. Throughout his career as pastor of Cornerstone Church in Nashville, Tennessee, he has taken strong stands to expand God’s Kingdom. Along the way, he has ruffled more than a few feathers.
In this book, Pastor Maury displays courage in being brutally honest about the mistakes he has made, the people he has hurt, and the shortcuts he shouldn’t have taken. Some of his stories will make you laugh, but some will make you cringe. Each chapter includes a first-person narrative of someone who was there - someone who saw the best and the worst in him.
Maury didn’t write this purely for entertainment value. Instead, his hope is that God will use this account of his blunders as a warning to others to avoid them like the plague!

10 valuable lessons for Business Owner & Leaders
I read this book after seeing Andy Andrews talk about how he couldn't put it down. Well, I couldn't either. Read it on a flight from Nashville to Phoenix. What a powerful book for CEOs, business owners, and anyone who has direct reports. Many of these mistakes, I made myself over years of owning my own company. This is a must-read for people who struggle to get the most out of their co-workers or employees. Maury Davis writes about all the things NOT to do but then he backs it up with all the things TO do. Great book to learn and review continually and become a better leader in your work and your community. I highly recommend it.

Amazing
Recognizing your shortfalls and able to share them with others is a very unique challenge. You overcame many adversities that shaped you to be a man of GOD. It didn’t make you perfect, but you were effective in your profession. Many leaders will be better because of your openness. Thank you. 🙏🏽
