Two for the price of one

Love this read, both stories. I barely put it down. It had everything that a romance book needs to keep a girl smiling.

bwwm find an orphan infant.. Grab a tissue!

This story is about a light skinned female to learned to "pass" due to her harsh childhood and a anglo rich male with issuse. This is a nice story BUT the description of the man holding & playing with the infant is worth buying this book.. I swear each time the lead character was with the little black infant, my uterus giggled & panties dropped. The description makes this spoiled man FREAKIN' ADORABLE. This story came with another story at the end which was ok.. But, if you are a sucker for foster kids and orphans.. Buy this..

I thoroughly enjoyed this book

Where does His Forever Family rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I rate it #1 in the romance category. The narrators are integral when I'm listening to an audio book. Will Damron and Adenrele Ojo made this book come alive for me. The story line was great. I was envisioning these two people while I listened to the audio.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the ease with which the two characters interacted with each other. I also liked the slow build up to their romance.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was when he took her shopping to go with him to the wedding.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to the entire story in one sitting. I actually took it with me on my 4 mile walk and finished listening to the rest of it when I got back home. The best thing about listening to an audio book is that there's no need to stop what I'm doing to enjoy a good book.

Any additional comments?

I will definitely be on the look out for more books written by Sarah M. Anderson and or Brenda Jackson in the future.

I have no words on how pissed this book made me

I love interracial books and love the celebration of love across colors and hues. However, this book is so offensive that I couldn't even finish!! I can't believe that an author in this day and age would make the horrible secret a character has be that they are BLACK!! That's such bs and highly offensive to this black lady! I kept wondering why she didn't describe this chick but when I found out she was passing and afraid that ole dude was going to find out, I was DONE. I thought the story would be interesting due to a white dude and black chick would find a black kid and adventure ensures. Yet, this chick is passing and is ashamed about her past, i.e. her black druggie mom! I'm done and I won't read anything else by this author. Shame on Harlequin for tying this chick's book with Brenda Jackson, as that was the only reason I purchased this crap! I'm getting a refund!!!

Disappointing characters

What would have made His Forever Family better?

The main characters need to be smarter, with the background set up for the characters they should have been smarter. Unfortunately they come off as immature, silly and naïve.

Has His Forever Family turned you off from other books in this genre?

No

Have you listened to any of Will Damron and Adenrele Ojo ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No

Any additional comments?

The idea that the female lead is passing for white, based on her reasoning is silly. Also the male lead is naïve but she has him as a powerful billionaire but he's afraid of his Mommy, come on.

Liberty, Liberty, what were you thinking?

Let me start by saying, I do not blame the crazy, psychotic mother who wants her son so still suckle but I blame Liberty for her issues in the end. How can you expect him to fight for you when he is not aware of what he's fighting for? Wait a minute, what was the point of hiding that she was mixed? The book didn't make it seem like she would not have gotten the job so she was just being an ass. Survival, whatever she knew what she was doing. She's just sorry that she got caught in her ridiculous secret. She should have told him after she got the job at least a couple months after when she proved how effective an assistant she was. My recommendation, wait until it's on sale.
