Publisher's summary

Andrew Marsden has no desire to marry, at least not anytime soon. He's having too much fun to tie himself down to home and hearth, and he doesn't give any woman a second glance. He has wicked charm, and a devilish sense of humor that appeals to the ladies of the ton, and many are more than willing to join him in his bed. So he sees no reason to make a change.

Until Sofia Leone comes to London for a visit. She is much more alluring than he recalls, and apparently not susceptible to his charismatic demeanor. She's a siren, and he is willing to answer her call, if only she'd let him....

Sofia would like nothing more than to fall into Drew's arms and allow him to seduce her, but she refuses to give in to what she feels for him. After one night of passion, it might not be so easy to stay away from him. Drew's not above using that one night against her, and finds a way to ensure she's tied to him forever—the one thing he never thought he'd willingly agree to—marriage.

Excellent Twist on Typical Trope

Our poor, beleaguered heroine has suffered from unrequited love for our hero for a long time. He's a young man, so typical of romance fiction, who is having too much fun to want to settle down. But things change rapidly after one illicit encounter at a masquerade. (Side note: The build-up to this was fun! The hero didn't actually know who she was until after they did the deed. Before they got to that point, too, she led him on quite the merry chase that was romantic and such fun to listen to.) He insists they wed after he takes her innocence, but now that she's confronted by this rapid development, she pulls away. She's wanted him forever, but she doesn't want him like this. Where the twist came in is how the author believably showed the hero’s change of heart. Now that she doesn't want him, he realizes how much he not only wants her but needs her in his life as well. Beautifully done! So heartfelt. I could really feel for him as he keeps getting rejected by her as he comes to fully understand his feelings for her and the profound depth of his emotions. So well done. I liked the narrator of this book, but she has such a mellow voice that she made me sleepy! But the charming story kept me awake. Highly recommended.

Andrew and Sofia

Andrew is used to all the women being attracted to him, until he meets Sofia. She is attracted to him, but does not show it. She does not want to settle for sex/lust, she wants love. If she cannot have love, she would rather be a spinster. Her sister and friends convince her to attend a party. Here things get interesting, because she runs into Andrew again, and things are not as they once were. Characters well developed. The narration was well done. Sweet Regency Romance!

This is the fifth novella in the Marsden Descendants Series, a Regency Romance. I loved it. Andrew and Sofia's story is sweet, passionate, and engaging. The story is beautifully written. Nicola F. Delgado did an excellent job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to His Mischievous Minx, the next novella in the series. Good Story

Sofia Leone has always loved Andrew Mardsden, and only Andrew Marsden. Drew is happy being the carefree bachelor. He knows Sofia has feelings for him, so he avoids her. Wonder why? When a regrettable, but unforgettable incident occurs at a masquerade, he reacts badly and accuses her of deceit. He then decides their future without consulting her. She doesn’t just want Drew to marry her; she wants him to love her. Hurt, she doesn’t quite know what to do. What happens now? Nice story, interesting characters, and a happy ending. Narration by Nicola F. Delgado was well-done and enjoyable.

His Scandalous Siren!

"His Mischievous Minx" is the fifth story in the "Marsden Descendants" series. It is a fairly short and quick read/listen and can be enjoyed as a stand alone read. It does have connected characters and family members. This story is about Andrew, the twin brother of Alexander, the Earl of Devon, and Sophia, the cousin to Alexander's wife. Drew and Sophia are combustible. He sees no need for marriage but is drawn to her the minute they meet. A compromising situation pushes him to offer marriage but winning her over may prove a challenge.

wrong and late decisions

Story of Sofia and Andrew Marsden. The latter has no wish to marry but an incident happen causing him to high-handedly arrange their wedding.
This story will provoke a lot of emotions. Shaking my head for Sofia's initial choice and felt sorry for her. Annoyed with Drew but this is balanced with my regard for Sofia's companions - her friend, sister and cousin. A good read but note there is a mature scene in this story.

Andrew & Sophia, great story

Andrew Marsden and Sofia Leone is the fifth book in the Marsden Descendants series. A well written short story that held my interest from cover to cover. Story has a great storyline and the story flowed smoothly across the pages. They will have their ups and downs as they work toward a happy ending. I enjoyed listening to Nicola F. Delgado narrate this story.
