About this listen
Have you ever wondered what was going on in Adolf Hitler's mind during his final hours in the Führerbunker?
What were his thoughts as radio contact with the outside world grew faint, Soviet explosions became louder and louder, and he began to feel his unassailable power ebbing away?
Did Hitler repent of his crimes against humanity or was he obsessed with thoughts of his imminent defeat and suicide?
With an inimitable cast of doomed characters, from Hitler himself to his mistress Eva Braun, mass-murderer Heinrich Himmler, cunning chief of Nazi propaganda Joseph Goebbels, and the manipulative Martin Bormann, this book captures all the drama and dread in the bunker as the Red Army remorselessly advanced into the heart of Berlin, and Hitler and his Thousand-Year Reich vanished into history.

I think most of us know how world war 2 ended. I’ve enjoyed every history class I took but classes in general look at the overall themes of ww2. This was a very nice look into a short period, in specific the last day of Hitler. I learned a few things.
It also touches on misinformation about Hitler that I believed most of my life without question. (I heard as a kid Hitler lacked… certain genitalia parts). This has an entire chapter dedicated to sorting out misinformation.
Id recommend this book.
I had to ding a point because the narrator was very British and my Canadian brain couldn’t compute it all.
Histories biggest villain

A very informative book on the last days and general situation of nazi Germany. A lot of interesting information that goes beyond the last days of Hitler, as the title suggests. Even some interesting theories on the myth of the Führer.
The reading voice is also excellent and he has even a pretty good german pronunciation.
Just one thing: it has some very graphic details about the war and annample discussion of some of the atricities, reader be advised!
