A missing dog. A heartbroken young man. Stolen out of anger or affection? Or to be put at stud? After all, the Shar-Pei was a beauty and worth a lot of money!

When Wade’s dog goes missing, Holly and the sheriff’s department join in the search. But is it too late for Zeus? If you’ve ever felt the pain of losing a dog, you’ll have no trouble identifying with Holly’s boyfriend as he searches for his best friend.

Charming Cozy

This mystery was about a young man whose dog goes missing and the path that it took to find out what happened to the dog. The story was both charming and heartwarming. During Heather Robison's narration of the story, she paused at the end of each sentence and although this type of narration would be perfect for children as an adult I found it to be distracting. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

Good YA Mystery

I enjoyed listening to this cozy YA mystery reminiscent of Nancy Drew mysteries. I’d like to listen to more of the series. I thought the narrator read slowly, but I listened to it at 2X speed and it was fine.

A doggone good mystery

Zeus has gone missing, and there are a small number of suspects. Holly and Wade set out to check the leads and narrow the list. They meet some nice people and one not so nice person, and zero in on the real perp.
Narration is boring and has that ‘reading aloud’ lack of intelligent inflection.
Dianne needs to look up the meaning of the word ‘smirk’.

An Excellent Mystery for Teens or Adults

This audio book is a really good, clean cozy mystery. It will appeal to teens and adults, as well as animal lovers. I enjoyed the in-depth descriptions of the various character's motivations for possibly stealing the missing dog. The book is well-written and original. It didn't have foul language or gore. It did not have a cliffhanger ending, which was appreciated. The narrator has a nice voice and did a good job. Although this is the fourth book in the Holly Lewis series, it would not be necessary to listen to the other books in the series in order to understand the characters. I would definitely recommend this audio book to others.

A cute mystery for young readers

Holly and the Missing Dog is a cute mystery for young readers about a teenage girl who gets involved in solving a mystery when her boyfriend’s dog goes missing.

The narrator of the audiobook does an ok job, but she has a strange pattern to her speech and pauses a lot.

I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest and voluntary review.
