The Poisonwood Bible is a story told by the wife and four daughters of Nathan Price, a fierce, evangelical Baptist who takes his family and mission to the Belgian Congo in 1959. They carry with them everything they believe they will need from home, but soon find that all of it - from garden seeds to Scripture - is calamitously transformed on African soil. The Journey Continues
All I want to say is this series is amazing. Truly I am so anxious to get through each one, but then again I do not want it to ever end. Plus I want to be a part of this amazing family. With Caryl's written words and the narration of Lisa Baarns I am pulled into the story and it is real.
This is May and Henry's story and how both found love, although it is a journey. I was not a fan of May's at first with her disbelief and secrets. But as she opened up, and yes it took awhile, she became more likable.
Of course Henry Buckmeyer is larger than life and I love this man.
I cannot wait for this next in this saga!

Definately not as good as the second book in series
I could never get into the character of Mae. She seemed fake like she was not being her self. Compared.to book two in this series this was dull.

Love like in the Books
Delightful story. Narrator was good. May Meriwether is a writer from New York and decides her next book should be a love story featuring a Texas Ranger. So she sets off to Texas to interview a real Ranger. She is excited for this new adventure, since her life was boring. She yearns for a husband and children and the love she writes about. Can an unexpected meeting with a widower, be her chance at love finally.

Another great story in this amazing series!
Any additional comments?
I love the stories of redemption!! Caryl is one of my new favorite authors! Her ability to tell an engaging story and teach a Christian theme is commendable! I highly recommend her books! I enjoyed the audio version of this book!

Enjoyable
Enjoyed meeting new characters as well as seeing the ones we have already met in a continuance of this series. Seeing a widowed father adapt to raising teenage daughters as well as a young son while trusting the Lord to help him was refreshing. The Lord brought just the right person along in a fun way.
I was given a free audio code by the author and have voluntarily left this honest review.

Trust and obey
Great reading by Caryl McAdoo. By waiting on God, he will fill our hearts with joy. This is the ongoing saga of a family in Texas. A widowed father deals with his growing daughters and young son. All could use the love and guidance of a Christian mother.
Many women show interest in the handsome, charming father, but none seem to capture his heart. Enjoy!!
