Publisher's summary
This book teaches you how to build a relationship with your new horse, how to care for him, feed him, ride him, and what to do in the event you need to sell your horse.
Main features include:
- Acclimating your horse to his new home
- Transitioning from an outdoor horse to a barn horse
- Adjusting your horse to new horses
- Feeding your horse and how to adjust him to new food
- Spotting and treating illnesses
- Knowing and correcting bad habits, whether in the barn or while riding
- Proper equipment and treatment while riding
- Proper procedure if you need to sell the horse
If you are new to owning a horse and need to learn the basics (buying, riding, feeding, selling), then this book is for you. The book explains each point in short, easy-to-listen-to paragraphs, so you will not miss anything important.
Additionally, this book explains that horses have feelings, providing a helpful human equivalent to better understand the horse's position. Horses are intelligent creatures, not push-button machines. A horse's feelings can be compared to a human's feelings. Just like humans, horses are individuals with minds of their own.

Using plain language, she explores the differences and similarities between equine and human ways of negotiating the world. Mental abilities—like seeing, learning, fearing, trusting, and focusing—are discussed from both human and horse perspectives. Throughout, true stories of horses and handlers attempting to understand each other—sometimes successfully, sometimes not—help to illustrate the principles.

Not much information
This book contains information more like an article to me.
The narration is awful. At first, I really thought it was a computer voice.

Don’t buy this book!
I have no idea who this book was written for. It provides more confusion than it does information regarding horse care. It talks more about the author and copyrights and there is content. My purchasing it was a huge mistake, can’t believe I wasted the money. It’s like a commercial or in for Marshall encouraging you to buy other books of its kind totally getting off the subject of horses. Obviously adjustments were not made for audio so it should have not been marketed or so for audio. I can’t believe the program is actually making me give it one star.

Don’t waste your time on this
This tells you nothing about how to care for a horse. It mostly just tells you common knowledge that you already know. He tells you things they need like food water shelter of trims, but doesn’t tell you actually how to do it. This book is like telling me when you buy a dog it needs to eat.
