A sexy soldier saves a single mom’s life, then offers her and her young son a place to live.

Hot soldier Ryder “Muffin” Hanson didn’t plan on diving into a frigid lake on a freezing day, but finding an unconscious woman in the water leaves him no choice.

Single mom Alaina Montgomery does the best she can to take care of her six-year-old son, working as a cleaner in a women’s crisis center. It doesn’t pay a lot, but it’s enough to keep them going.

Until someone brutally attacks her and leaves her for dead.

Now, Alaina is terrified to be alone and fearful for her son’s safety. When Ryder offers her a place to stay, she can’t refuse. He’ll protect her and her child, plus he’s the kind of man her little boy can look up to. As the feelings between her and Ryder grow, she finally lets herself believe the future looks bright.

But the danger isn’t over yet. Someone is watching and waiting. And when the time is right, they’ll strike again....

Fast paced romance

Elena & Ryder have great chemistry from the start. This isn’t the most clever plot Harris has ever written, but it is still well written. I felt the attempts at distraction were a bit obvious, but admittedly by the time I got to the reveal I was swayed into expecting one of the distractions to be the culprit. So hats off to the author on that. Main character chemistry is great and the narrators performances are top notch. In short this book is everything I desire from a romance novel. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5. Looking forward to the next one.

Loved every minute of this story!!!

HOT Limit is the latest release from Lynn Raye Harris in her awesome Hostile Operation Team series. This book features Strike Team 2 and we are finally getting Ryder "Muffin" Hanson's book, and I absolutely loved it!

Ryder Hanson is one of the few single members left in Strike Team 2, and I've always liked him and wanted to know more about him. He has always seemed a bit of a loner to me, so I knew it would take just the right time and woman to have him falling hard and fast. Alaina Montgomery and her sweet son Everett are just the people to have Ryder open his heart and home at just the right time.

Ryder finds Alaina floating in the pond after she had been beaten and left for dead. After being released from the hospital, Ryder offers to let them move into his home and then the cottage on his land to keep them safe. Ryder and Alaina had the best chemistry, and I absolutely loved them as a couple. Ry let Alaina set the pace of how fast their relationship moved, and he was so sweet with her son Everett. I honestly loved everything about this couple, and sweet family.

The suspense aspect of this story absolutely kept me guessing until the very end. I really don't know why I didn't see the who done it until right before the reveal, but I loved Ms. Harris kept me guessing. Extremely well done keeping readers on the edge of their seats.

I can't say enough about how much I loved both Gregory Salinas and Lila Winters as narrators for HOT Limit. From the flawless transition and the spot-on voice job for all the characters, they absolutely helped bring this story to life in audio. Absolutely one of my favorite pair of narrators for sure.

HOT Limit was a fantastic story that kept the reader guessing until the very end. The romance between Ryder and Alaina was both sweet and sexy, and I loved every moment.

Another great story in the HOT world!

Muffin's story was another action packed story in the land of the HOT boys. Muffin and Alaina's meeting is very unique in the respect that they meet with Ryder (Muffin) saving Alaina from drowning. Ryder is almost instantly protective of this woman and her little boy and doesn't want to be far away. Alaina has been let down so much in life that she's afraid to count on anybody and doesn't want her son to get attached. The love and trust that emerges from their story was beautiful and heartfelt. Another great story in this action packed series! Great story!

The narrators kept me engaged in the story and really brought it to life. Loved it!

Loved Ryder and Aliana's Story!

Ryder "Muffin" Hanson is a kind, loving and protective man who works for H.O.T. He finds single mom Aliana Montgomery floating in the lake behind the home he just bought. Once Ryder starts to get to know Aliana and her son, Everett, he realizes that he doesn't want them to leave. The relationship that develops between Ryder and Aliana shows the hot chemistry between the two.

Aliana doesn't know what happened or who would want to hurt her so Ryder takes it upon himself to be the protector for Aliana and Everett. Ryder also develops a nice bond with Evertt too.

This book definitely keeps you guessing as to who would want Aliana dead.

I absolutely love the entire H.O.T series by Lynn Raye Harris! Can't wait for the next book!

Wowzers

Wowzers. Ryan and Alaina start the story with a water save. Then move on to landlord/tenant. Then to dating. Then to another save. They were busy. All while working and healing and going about life. Crazy.

Although the one guy is a creep in this story and you want to believe it is him tormenting Alaina, it turns out it’s the last person you would think. And to top it off, they’ve done it before.

So batten down the hatches. You’re in for a ride.

I have since listened to the audiobook. Gregory Salinas is a veteran of alpha male characters. It's always a pleasure to listen to him. I'm not familiar with the narrator Lila Winters, however her voice is somewhat familiar so I may have listened to her before. I enjoyed her take on Alaina, but really enjoyed her version of Bridget. Significant differences in character voices and personalities.

A HOT story - is Always a Step Above!!

Ryder is new in town, and just moved into a house on a lake. Looking at his view he sees a woman face-down in the water! She is covered in cuts and bruises, but he is able to revive her. Alaina wakes in the bathtub Ryder is using to warm her up as he calls an ambulance. Alaina has no memory of what happened to her - but is most concerned for her 6-year-old son Everette.

Ryder has a few weeks until his new duties start. He is not willing to let Alaina recover on her own. Everett is enamored, as he has not had male attention. Danger, intrigue and possible relationships with a stellar narration, as I enjoyed this one on audio.

Swoon-worthy hero!

A down-on-her-luck single mother (w/ 6-year-old boy) wakes up with amnesia about what happened to her. Ryder “Muffin” saves her and protects her while they figure out what happened.

Readers will love how amazing Ryder is with her son. Major swoon-worthy.

The story keeps you guessing who the threat is coming from.

A great listen. I really enjoyed Gregory Salinas and Lila Winters's performance.

HOT MUFFIN MAN!

Love comes when you least expect it. For Ryder (Muffin) Hanson and single mom Alaina Montgomery, along with her son love really swept them all away. I truly loved how Alaina raised her son to be so respectful. Not easy to do as a single parent.
Gotta love these guys for their pranks! Chocolate Cockroach Cake!

Loved it!

Wonderful addition to the series! Each of these two have a hard luck background that impacts their current situation. Its intriguing watching them work through everything. I listened to this one audio. Gregory Salinas and Lila Winters do a great job narrating. I always look forward to these stories from this author.
