About this listen

The tall alien's eyes flashed. That was the only warning I got. He charged at me, throwing my crewmates aside as if they were nothing.

In that moment, I was certain he would kill me.

But no death blow came. Instead, he spoke, his deep voice heavily accented, each word like stone slabs falling into place.

"You are mine."

Clay

I don't ask for much from life; I get paid, and then I get laid. And piloting spaceships across the galaxy keeps my solo lifestyle well-funded. I don't need a relationship or any of the baggage that comes with it. I like my men like I like my coffee; to go.

That is, until the most boring job in the universe goes horribly wrong and I'm snatched from my ship by a seven-foot alien. He's huge, he's purple, and he's ripped as hell. I'm sure I'm a dead man.

Only it turns out he doesn't want to kill me. What he wants is far worse.

Arcay

I am the Second; Aldar royalty, the right hand of our leader. I live a half-life. On my planet, alphas and omegas are believed to be two halves of a soul. But Omegas are a rare treasure, all but extinct, and I have resigned myself to never knowing the joy of a soul bond.

But that all changes the moment I step onto the human ship. By some miracle, their pilot is an unclaimed omega. It does not matter that he is a different species, I have to have him.

That should be my happy ending; omegas are supposed to be meek, obedient, and willing. Clay is anything but. He resists me at every turn. I must bend him to my will before his potent pheromones draw every unmated alpha on the ship–my rank will only hold them back for so long.

How to Train Your Human Omega is a beauty and the beast retelling in the form of an action-packed, spicy, M/M sci-fi romance (with no mpreg) featuring an alien race of beefcakes, a stubborn human, and a very confused and grumpy alien trying to find his happily ever after in all the wrong ways. This book is the first in the Coveted Bonds series, with overarching storylines and recurring characters. Each story follows a different couple to their HEA. For mature listeners.

Decent story, decent voice!

Story was good. Not my favorite, but kept my attention (which isn’t the easiest). Would likely read a second if it was written. The few times where the plot almost lost me, the voice kept me engaged. 8/10 would recommend. NSFW scenes were a B+. Glad I listened!

Delightful

This was like a more interesting version of Ice Planet Barbarians. Because everything is better when it’s omegaverse and gay haha

very good

I deeply love the story. The voice actually was great. The characters were great. But I would like to see a sequel cause. We all know that omegas, especially the males, can have babies. And it would be nice to see these two characters have a child together

Story and Humor

It was a very cute listen, though I must say, several parts had me scratching my pen into my notebook or left me gripping the edge of my seat! A very nice take of Alpha/Beta/Omega dynamics that I thoroughly enjoyed! I have found the second book and will be ordering it to read very soon! I also loved the humor. There were a lot of moments I laughed out loud to something fun!

So Fun

I have recently found Gabriel Michael and looking for more books narrated by him found this one. Arden Fox is a new to me author but the book sounded fun and interesting and I love Nick J Russo’s performances. So, I listened. I am so glad I did. Great story, well written. Awesome narration.

Intense emotional story

Not usually into these kinds of books but this was honestly amazing story of emotion, action, and love with twists I did not expect. Truly a book to keep you on the edge of your seat. I couldn’t put it down.

I loved this but 1 thing.

I don't have much negative stuff to say, it was over all VERY good! Just 1 thing that I kept thinking about when the book was over, but I don't think i should say anything because of spoilers. But, if you want to listen to an amazing book, this is a good one!

Other rapey omega bleh

Okay, so I'm usually not a fan of the omega stores, but I have read a few that I have liked, so I decided to give this book a try - and I was unfortunately very disappointed. The first half of the book is pretty awful. The alien MC is ultra rapey and the characters are all just non-communicative idiots. Like almost every issue in this book could have been resolved with a simple explanation from one character to the other. But apparently no one knows how to talk other than to say "You are an Omega" and "You are mine" and other such nonsense. For a technologically advanced species, I got way too many Single-celled caveman vibes. About halfway through the book things get a little less rapey but not by much. Apparently the alien species sees omegas as little more than furniture sex slaves, but then has the audacity to give the impression that they're treated with respect which is absolute bullshit seeing as how literally no one in this book ever treats the human MC with any kind of respect. He's constantly belittled, lied to, ignored, and/or given absolutely no agency. Also, the actions of pretty much everyone on this ship are so incredibly stupid. The alien leader apparently has absolutely no idea whatsoever what is happening with his crew or what goes on on his ship and is in a constant state of 'I have no idea what's happening' and ' I'm going to keep overlooking crimes that are committed.' But the thing that I probably hate most of all, is that the human MC is such a whiny little coward that could have been replaced with a turnip For what little difference he had in 95% of the story. In every regard, he does nothing except play the part of the maiden in distress, His greatest contribution to the relationship is to 'not leave' at the end of the book. All in all, this is a weak story, with a weak plot, and weak characters. I wouldn't recommend it.
