About this listen

I journeyed 50,000 miles this year, across the United States.

I knocked out most of my "bucket list" in a matter of nine months, travelling cross-country.

I experienced many things that most people never get to experience in their entire lifetime. I will tell you tips, tricks and secrets on how to travel safely and cheaply, while still getting a great experience out of your travels.

The tips in this audiobook were not written by someone who never left their desk. I am a professional author who has sold over 80,000 audiobook and audiobook units writing in different genres and under different pen names. I also sell travel photography on microstock websites from my travels.

I used these proceeds to fund my travels without having to work a full-time job. Don't get me wrong - I used to do what you might be doing now...I worked a salary job earning big money, but one where I was nearly always on-call. Morning, noon and night, I paid my dues to "the man". I was never allotted time by my employer or my teammates to take off for a short weekend trip to go camping or fishing, much less be able to leave the state for any length of time. This left me invariably stuck in the cold state of Wisconsin for over 40 years.

For 16 years, I wasn't able to travel much at all. I sat in my cubicle, staring out the window, and dreaming of a day when I would be allowed to see and do things. When my 40th birthday came and went, and I began suffering a heart condition from chronic stress, I began to realize that my time was getting short. I realized that, eventually, I might not be able to do any of the things I wanted to do, much less knock off any of the items from my bucket list.

I decided the time was now. I buckled down, and I accomplished my dream of travelling nearly the entire 50 states in the United States. I don't regret the nine months that I spent on the road. I have enough stories from nine months
