Publisher's summary
HowExpert Guide to Modern Indian Art is a holistic look at--and one of the first learning projects to draw on--modern Indian art. The author emphasizes modern Indian painting. The genre is discussed, assessed, and practiced with robust and authentic information. The audiobook is divided into nine chapters inclusive of the introduction. The author has provided a basic concept of the theory of Indian modern art in the Introduction. Beginning from the late 19th century, when India was under the colonial regime, the book will draw your attention to the evolution of the Indian modern style.
The book addresses a myriad of styles of modern Indian artists who are identified with modernism to learn drawing and paint contemporary Indian art. Consequently, the tome discusses eight artists: six Indians, one European, and one American. At the same time, the author has also attempted to provide a biographical context of artists, in short, to inspire fellow listeners and learners. The HowExpert Guide to Modern Indian Art is a step-by-step guide to understanding the concepts of each artist’s style. Besides, it will suggest handling the material and contexts. Significantly, the introduction caters to creating a groundwork so that listeners do not feel lost while hearing about the discussed artists.
HowExpert Guide to Modern Indian Art will drive you through an artistic journey by its sensitive and creative vistas. While guiding you through patterns, compositions, and anecdotes, it will also allow the participant to think, analyze, and create an outstanding Indian modern artwork.

First published in 1973, this is a study of the force of photographic images, which are continually inserted between experience and reality. When anything can be photographed, and photography has destroyed the boundaries and definitions of art, a viewer can approach a photograph freely, with no expectations of discovering what it means. This collection of six lucid and invigorating essays, with the most famous being "In Plato's Cave", make up a deep exploration of how the image has affected society.

Story
Are art and science separated by an unbridgeable divide? Can they find common ground? In this book, neuroscientist Eric R. Kandel, whose remarkable scientific career and deep interest in art give him a unique perspective, demonstrates how science can inform the way we experience a work of art and seek to understand its meaning. Kandel illustrates how reductionism - the distillation of larger scientific or aesthetic concepts into smaller, more tractable components - has been used by scientists and artists alike to pursue their respective truths.

"See for yourself!" was the clarion call of the 1600s. Natural philosophers threw off the yoke of ancient authority, peered at nature with microscopes and telescopes, and ignited the scientific revolution. Artists investigated nature with lenses and created paintings filled with realistic effects of light and shadow. The hub of this optical innovation was the small Dutch city of Delft.

Just as every great meal starts with a recipe, every epic novel starts with an epic outline. But is an outline really necessary? Can’t you just wing it? Isn’t all that time on an outline better spent on actually writing? And doesn’t an outline just pour water on that spark of creativity? That’s what you may have heard…until now! Writing is like The Hare and the Tortoise. Slow and steady will always beat quick and careless.

An aura is a halo of energy that surrounds the body of a living being. This can be anything from animals, to plants, to of course, humans. You have an aura, and so does every other person in the world. You sense these already, even if you may not be aware of it. You have probably noticed that around certain people, you feel good seemingly without effort. You might also have noticed, in the past, that certain people make you feel drained or negative. This is because of what is in their aura.

Story
In So Much Longing in So Little Space, Karl Ove Knausgaard sets out to understand the enduring and awesome power of Edvard Munch's work by training his gaze on the landscapes that inspired Munch and speaking firsthand with other contemporary artists, including Anselm Kiefer, for whom Munch's legacy looms large. Bringing together art history, biography, and memoir, Knausgaard tells a passionate, freewheeling, and pensive story about not just one of history's most significant painters, but the very meaning of choosing the artist's life, as he himself has done.

Story
We're all familiar with the works of Claude Monet, thanks in no small part to the ubiquitous reproductions of his water lilies on umbrellas, handbags, scarves, and dorm-room posters. But did you also know Monet and his cohort were trailblazing rebels whose works were originally deemed unbelievably ugly and vulgar? And while you probably know the tale of Vincent van Gogh's suicide, you may not be aware that there's pretty compelling evidence that the artist didn't die by his own hand but was accidentally killed - or even murdered.

Story
In Mind in Motion, psychologist Barbara Tversky shows that spatial cognition isn't just a peripheral aspect of thought, but its very foundation, enabling us to draw meaning from our bodies and their actions in the world. Our actions in real space get turned into mental actions on thought, often spouting spontaneously from our bodies as gestures. Spatial thinking underlies creating and using maps, assembling furniture, devising football strategies, designing airports, understanding the flow of people, traffic, water, and ideas.

Story
In this thought-provoking exploration, Matthew May defines elegance as the elusive combination of unusual simplicity and surprising power, and pinpoints the four key elements that characterize it: seduction, subtraction, symmetry, and sustainability. In a story-driven narrative that sheds light on the need for elegance in design, engineering, physics, art, urban planning, sports, and work, May offers a surprising array of stories that illustrate why what's "not there" often matters more than what is.
