Start with book 1 before listening to this one!

Starting this book almost felt like it might get a bit boring. Angela got the guy and her happy ending. So, what more was there to ask for?

We are quickly reminded that life doesn't just end once we meet the one! Life goes on and sometimes life throws us curve balls. Well, for a bit of spice and adventure, some curve balls are greatly appreciated. But then there are other other unexpected curve balls that hit us in the face!

Just like Carrie from "Sex and the City", British blogger Angela flies out to L.A with her gal Jenny. It's not quite a foursome of girls like in the "Sex in the City" movie, but we do meet other characters in L.A. that give us some juicy background on Jenny... And my my Jenny! Who would've thought?! We all have a past, just some are more colourful than others I guess. Not judging or anything!

Although Angela craves the warm sunshine on her face in the middle of winter, it has completely slipped her mind that the weather entails some undressing at some point. Like "Sex and the City", there is a bikini wax moment. This reminds me of when a friend gave me a last minute wax before a girl's holiday to Ibiza. In a rush, the wax had desensitized my sensitive bits, causing for an uncomfortable holiday. I was so ashamed of my sunburnt looking wings spilling out at the sides of my bikini line!

Lindsey Kelk also describes the sudden awareness of Angela feeling suddenly uncomfortable by the pool, like Bridget Jones, from "Bridget Jones's Diary", did in her mini skirt. Even when we feel confident, there is still some doubt about our own bodies, which is totally normal.

Book 2 of the i heart series happens 6 months after the disastrous incident with her fiancé back in England. Angela has become more accustomed to her new New York lifestyle, working for The Look magazine and is feeling a lot more relaxed.

In hopes of trying to stay cool, calm and collected before her make it or break it interview, Angela gets drunk at times where she should be sober. Needless to say, this is where the drama begins. And the papparazzi cameras are only an earshot away.

The big interview is with a gorgeous hunk of a man. A fictitious celebrity, who has sultry blue eyes and a mound of dark thick hair. He appears to be very sweet for a man of Hollywood, which makes him seem even more tempting. The narrator, Cassandra Harwood, uses her posh British accent to depict the very handsome James Jacobs. Similarly to his character's name and brief description, I fantasized about a well-dressed and well-spoken James McCavoy.

I imagined him sitting and talking with me in very cool denim jeans, and a brown leather jacket. Although he was only dressed casually, he might as well of been wearing a tux! Hmmm, now I'm thinking of my husband! Hehe! He's so suave, you can almost smell him!

I also thought of actor Sam Claflin, for his upper class British roles, but McCavoy's blue eyes and sweet smile, came to mind first. Thinking about James Jacobs's voice, movies like, "The Riot Club", and "Victor Frankenstein" come to mind, but I'll let you be the judge of that!

There was an hour left...

And I just couldn't. What a piece of... You fill in the blank. The person who wrote this has the mental development of a spoiled tween girl. Let me sum it up for you:

UGGs UGGs UGGs

"oh my God everybody in LA is like so beautiful and I'm like such a cow"

"I should call Alex"

"James Jacobs is so hot"

"Come on girlfriend let's buy clothes, get drunk and be vile to everybody we meet"

"New York is like really cold in the winter"
